Item Effects
Every item effect explained: what it does and where to buy the items that have it.
Most items in MiroPets do something when you use them from your Backpack. Every item card shows its effect text, but this guide explains all the effect types in one place: what they do, which items have them, and which shops can stock them.
Effects come in two flavors:
- Pet effects ask you to pick one of your pets, and the effect applies to that pet.
- Account effects apply to you directly, no pet needed.
Shops restock from their own item pools on a rotating schedule, so a specific item is not always in stock. If you cannot find an item in its usual shop, check back after a restock, or try the Auction House, player shops, and the Haggle Hut.
Feeding, playing, and healing
The three everyday care effects. The amount varies by item, and stats cap at 100.
- Restore Hunger - food items fill your pet's belly. Cheap snacks restore around 10 to 20 hunger, hearty meals like Spaghettify or Meatballooza restore 85 or more. Stock up at the Food Emporium, Grocery Store, Sweet Tooth Bakery, and Corner Store. Some snacks star the pets themselves on the packaging: alongside Dragon's Brew and the Axolily Melon Jelly Cup, the Food Emporium stocks Goldiefish Crackers (240 MPC) and Flamingle Pink Lemonade (230 MPC), and the rare shelf has the Honeybear Honey Squeeze (450 MPC), Penglow Frost Pops (450 MPC), and the Otterly Clam Chowder Cup (500 MPC, which also restores health). Commons also turn up at the Corner Store, rares at RARE Finds.
- A few foods have several servings, like the Trail Mix Pouch (375 MPC, 3 handfuls of 20 hunger each) from the Food Emporium, Grocery Store, and Corner Store.
- Restore Happiness - toys cheer your pet up. Many toys have multiple uses before they break, like the Playpad (25 uses) or Bike (100 uses). Find them at the Toy Chest, Odds & Ends Outlet, and Corner Store.
- Fortune Cookie - a food item that works like a toy: crack one open on a pet for +30 happiness and a fortune. There are 50 different fortunes, and you never get the same one twice in a row. Baked at the Sweet Tooth Bakery (also stocked by the Food Emporium) for 150 MPC.
- Restore Health - medicine heals a sick pet. Examples: Healixir, Bandaeroo, Coughdrop, and Nectarine (full heal). Sold at the Healing Hut and Potion Parlor. Some foods heal too: Chicken Noodle Soup (275 MPC) restores 25 health and 30 hunger, and is stocked at the Healing Hut as well as the Food Emporium and Grocery Store.
Full Restore
Sets hunger, happiness, and health all to 100 in one go. The most convenient care items in the game.
- Hearty Harvest Stew (rare) - Corner Store, Grocery Store, RARE Finds
- Boostymoon (epic) - EPIC Only, Potion Parlor
- Curekit (epic) - EPIC Only, Healing Hut
- Healthopedia (epic) - EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome
- Miracle Muffin (epic) - EPIC Only, Food Emporium, Grocery Store, Sweet Tooth Bakery
- Miracle Mist (epic, also grants 50 XP) - EPIC Only, Healing Hut
- Hearthglow Tonic (epic, 9,000 MPC, also grants 1,500 XP) - EPIC Only, Potion Parlor. Made for the MiroPass: a full restore means the pet earns its care bonus on everything after, and the XP counts toward the season.
Pet XP
Grant XP items give your pet experience instantly. Books are the classic XP items, and The Dusty Tome is the main bookshop. A selection, from light reading to heavy tomes:
- Starbook (25 XP) - Odds & Ends Outlet, The Dusty Tome, Toy Chest
- Cosmic Candy and Sparkling Stardust (100 XP each) - RARE Finds, Sweet Tooth Bakery, and others
- Guide to the MiroMarket (200 XP) - RARE Finds, The Dusty Tome
- Arena Battle Tactics (250 XP, also unlocks a game) - EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome
- How to Play Plinko (500 XP, also +50 happiness) - EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome
- Tome of a Thousand Stars and Celestial Growth Elixir (1,000 XP each) - EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome, Potion Parlor
- Flask of Five Sips (400 XP per sip, 5 sips, 10,000 MPC) - EPIC Only, Potion Parlor. Split the sips across pets, or save them for when a boost is running.
Lucky XP items roll their XP instead of paying a fixed amount. Fortune Fizz (6,000 MPC, EPIC Only and Potion Parlor) grants anywhere from 500 to 5,000 XP: most bottles fizz gently, a few burst with sparks, and 3 in 100 hit the full 5,000. The roll still gets your pet's XP boost on top, and whatever it lands on counts toward the MiroPass.
Boost XP Gain items give a percentage bonus to all XP your pet earns for a limited time. A pet can only have one XP boost active at a time.
- Xpresso (+25% for 60 minutes, 3 uses) - Healing Hut, Potion Parlor, RARE Finds
- Tiny Tactics for Big Pets (+25% for 30 minutes) - RARE Finds, The Dusty Tome
- Scholar's Growth Tonic (+50% for 60 minutes) - Corner Store, Potion Parlor, RARE Finds
- Levelup (+67% for 67 minutes, plus 67 XP) - RARE Finds, The Dusty Tome
- Night Owl's Reading Lamp (+50% for 4 hours) - EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome
- Slow Simmer Elixir (+20% for 24 hours, 3,000 MPC) - EPIC Only, Potion Parlor. A whole day of bonus XP for pets you play with all day.
Evolution
- Growth Surge items (Growth Serum, Growsprout Tonic, Quicksprout, Groviolet) instantly grant XP equal to a percentage of the XP needed to reach adulthood - from 20% (Growth Serum) up to 75% (Groviolet). Found at the Potion Parlor, Healing Hut, RARE Finds, and EPIC Only.
- Instant Evolve - the Evolvotome (RARE Finds, The Dusty Tome) and Evolvify (EPIC Only, Healing Hut, Potion Parlor) evolve a pet immediately: egg to baby, or baby to adult. Evolving to adult rolls random starting combat stats.
- Lock Evolution - the Eternal Youth Potion (50,000 MPC, EPIC Only and Potion Parlor) keeps a baby pet a baby forever. Baby pets only.
- Revert to Baby - the Baby's Breath Elixir (75,000 MPC, EPIC Only and Potion Parlor) turns an adult pet back into a baby and permanently locks evolution. The pet keeps its combat stats.
Protection from stat decay
- Reduce Decay items halve stat decay for a while: Incubloom (2 hours), Cozy Blanket and Dreamknit Quilt (8 hours), Living Moss Terrarium (12 hours). Found at the Healing Hut, Potion Parlor, Corner Store, and RARE Finds.
- Overnight Protection items stop decay completely for about 8 hours - perfect before bed. Sleepy Plushie (a Claw Machine prize), Snugglewrap (Corner Store), Midnight Lullaby Music Box (Corner Store, Odds & Ends Outlet, Toy Chest), and Dreamwealth (EPIC Only, also grants XP).
Coins and games
These are account effects - no pet required.
- Coin Boost items give bonus coins from games for a limited time. Only one boost can be active at once. Quick Coin Candy (+35% for 15 minutes, Sweet Tooth Bakery), Lucky Clover (+25% for 30 minutes, Corner Store), Coinpurse (+33% for 30 minutes), Coinfizz (+30% for 45 minutes, Potion Parlor), Principles of Prosperity (+25%, The Dusty Tome), and Coinbrew (+50% for 30 minutes, EPIC Only and Potion Parlor).
- Game Tickets unlock random games you have already used up your daily plays on. The Ticket Counter is the specialist shop. Bronze Ticket (1 game), Silver Ticket (2), Golden Ticket (3), Quadticket (4), Gaming For Dummies (5, 2 uses — a book, so you can read it to a pet for XP and Intelligence as the games unlock), Magic Controller (7), and Diamond Ticket (3 games, 3 uses). You can use two game tickets per day, with a 30-minute wait between them, and a ticket cannot be used if it would unlock more games than you have locked.
- Extra Scratch Plays grant bonus Scratch & Win plays: Scratch Ticket (+1), Golden Scratch Ticket (+3), Lucky Scratch Bundle (+5). Ticket Counter and Corner Store. Limit of two of these items per day.
- Extra Claw Machine Play - the Claw Ticket (800 MPC, epic, Ticket Counter) adds 1 play to your daily Claw Machine allowance once you have used it up. The extra play still costs 250 MPC. Limit of 2 per day, and banked plays never expire.
- Den Charter (7,500 MPC, epic, Ticket Counter and EPIC Only) founds a den in place of the 10,000 MPC creation fee. Using it from the backpack just takes you to the Create a Den page, where it is offered as a way to pay and spent only once the den is founded. You still need to be level 5.
- Findley's Watch Ticket (2,000 MPC, rare, Ticket Counter and RARE Finds) permanently adds 5 slots to your Findley watchlist, on top of the free or VIP base. Stacks up to 20 extra slots; a ticket used past that cap is refused, not wasted.
- Extra Kitchen Cooks - the Second Helping Ticket (900 MPC, rare, Ticket Counter) adds 5 cooking attempts in the Kitchen for the rest of the day. One ticket per day, and unused extra cooks do not carry over.
- Garden Rain Barrel - Rooty's Rain Barrel (12,000 MPC, epic, Rooty's Garden Shed and EPIC Only) advances every growing Garden plot by 4 hours and waters the beds for a day. Not consumed if nothing is growing.
- Random Seed Packet - the Mystery Seed Packet (1,200 MPC, rare, Rooty's Garden Shed and RARE Finds) opens into a random garden seed, rarity-weighted with a real chance at an epic.
- Seed Sampler - Rooty's Seed Sampler ($7.99 at the Treasure Trove only, never in an NPC shop) opens into one packet of every active garden seed at once - all 16, common through epic. It needs a free Backpack slot for each kind of seed you do not already hold; if there is not enough room it tells you how many to clear and stays in your Backpack unopened.
- Gift Wrap - Gift Wrap (500 MPC, common, Corner Store and Odds & Ends Outlet) is spent when you send a present from the Friends page; using it from the backpack just takes you there.
- Reset Fishing items refill your daily Fishing casts: Angler's Almanac, Tackle Box, and Fishing Tips. Usable twice per day. Corner Store, Odds & Ends Outlet, RARE Finds.
- Reload Snapshot Safari Film items reload a full roll of Snapshot Safari frames for today: Roll of Safari Film. Usable twice per day. Corner Store, RARE Finds.
- Treasure Dig Boost items guarantee big loot and bonus coins on your next Treasure Dig: Treasure Map, Diggers Draught, The Treasure Hunters Guide, and the Prospector's Ledger (3 uses). Odds & Ends Outlet, Potion Parlor, RARE Finds, The Dusty Tome. Every one of them gives the same guarantee; the percentage only changes the bonus coins, and only one can be active at a time.
- Wishing Well Luck - raises the rare-or-epic chance of your next Wishing Well wish from 30% to 63%. The Wellspring Flask (750 MPC, 3 sips, Potion Parlor and RARE Finds), the Wishing Well Luck Potion (RARE Finds) and the Wishing Well Folklore book (The Dusty Tome) all give the same boost. Use the wish within 24 hours. Only one boost at a time, and a refused second one is not spent.
- Free Gym Pass items make your next Gym training session free (adult pets only, expires after 24 hours): Gym Pass, Training at the Gym, Champion's Protein Shake, and Workout Planner (2 uses).
Stat Treats
Pet effects that permanently raise one combat stat, the same three the Gym trains. Adult pets only, never past the pet's level cap (10x Pet Level), and each pet can eat 3 per day across all three. A treat that cannot be used (baby pet, stat at cap, limit reached) is not consumed.
- Ironbite Jerky — +1 Attack (400 MPC, rare) — Sports Outlet, RARE Finds
- Shellcrunch Biscuit — +1 Defense (400 MPC, rare) — Sports Outlet, RARE Finds
- Heartroot Chew — +1 HP (400 MPC, rare) — Sports Outlet, RARE Finds
- Champion's Feast — +1 Attack, +1 Defense and +1 HP in one use (1,500 MPC, epic) — Sports Outlet, EPIC Only. Feeds every stat that still has room, and spends only one of the day's treat slots.
Capacity upgrades
- Backpack Expansions permanently add inventory slots (up to the 2,500-slot backpack maximum): Flamepack (+3), Backpack Expansion Kit (+5), Galaxibag (+6), and Mirobag (+8, also grants XP). Mostly at the Corner Store, Odds & Ends Outlet, and EPIC Only.
- Pet Slot Expansions let you own one more pet each, up to the account cap of 250 pets: Pet Permit (Corner Store, EPIC Only) and Taking Care of Many Pets (RARE Finds, The Dusty Tome). You can also buy a slot outright with coins from your My Pets page, starting at 5,000 MPC and rising 1,000 MPC per slot you've added - so the items stay the smart hunt for big collectors.
Adoption
- Nests are not used from the backpack - they are consumed automatically when you adopt an egg at the Adoption Center. Cozy Nest (100 MPC), Leafnest (175), Greenest (250), and Rainest (500) at the Nesting Nook - the pricier ones hatch faster and give the pet an XP head start. See Adoption Center.
- Golden Adoption Pass (EPIC Only, Ticket Counter) resets your adoption cooldown so you can adopt again right away. Once per day.
Feature unlocks
One-time purchases that permanently unlock a feature for your account:
- Journal (EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome, Corner Store, Toy Chest) - unlocks your private Journal.
- Pet Glossary (Odds & Ends Outlet, RARE Finds, The Dusty Tome) - unlocks the Pet Glossary species browser.
- Dusty Recipe Book (EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome) - reveals one random secret Kitchen recipe you have not discovered yet.
- Magic Bookmark (EPIC Only, The Dusty Tome) - summons a random book into your backpack.
- Player XP items add experience to your account level rather than a pet: Scholar's Player Manual (+250) and the Opened Prismatic Mystery Box (+100).
Transformation vials
Transformations permanently change your pet into a special color variant of the same species. The change cannot be undone, and the variant must exist for your pet's species. When you use a vial from the Backpack, the pet picker shows exactly what each pet will become (and greys out pets with no variant of that theme), and you confirm a second time before the vial is spent - so you never burn one blind. A transformed pet also takes off everything it is wearing: the pieces stay in its wardrobe, and you dress the new form again from the Wardrobe (fresh fittings count against the daily allowance).
Vials are priced by the rarity of the form they create: rare forms 10,000 MPC, epic forms 25,000 MPC, legendary forms real money only.
- Rare vials (10,000 MPC each): Fire, Forest, Storm, Sports, and Neon Vials - Potion Parlor, RARE Finds
- Epic vials (25,000 MPC each): Candy, Cosmic, Dark, Rainbow, Shiny, Nerd, Wizard, and Pirate Vials - EPIC Only and Potion Parlor
- Mermaid Necklace (epic, 25,000 MPC) - Corner Store, EPIC Only
- Chrome Vial, Gold Vial and Legendary Stained Glass Vial (legendary) - not sold in any shop; a handful were sold in the Treasure Trove before September 2026 and now only change hands between players
Bonus effects
Some items carry a second effect on top of their main one - for example, Starchew grants XP and restores hunger, the Lucky Clover boosts coins and grants XP, and Miracle Mist fully restores and grants XP. The item description always lists everything the item does.
