Kitchen
Mix 2-3 food items into new dishes, discover 12 recipes (7 of them secret), and turn cheap ingredients into rare and epic treats.
The Cooking Kitchen turns food items from your Backpack into brand-new dishes. Match a real recipe and you cook the dish; miss, and you scrape a lump of Burnt Mush out of the pot.

How cooking works
Current live settings:
- You get 10 cooking attempts per day.
- Every attempt uses exactly 2 or 3 food items. Only food items can go in the pot, and ingredient order never matters.
- Ingredients are always consumed - matched recipe or not. A failed combination still eats your ingredients and produces one Burnt Mush ("technically edible").
- Partially-used food items cannot be cooked, and items listed in your shop or locked in a trade do not count as available.
- If the Kitchen refuses an attempt outright (full backpack, missing ingredients, daily limit reached), nothing is consumed.
The Recipe Book
There are 12 recipes: 5 common, 5 rare, and 2 epic dishes. Five are published openly in the Recipe Book:
- S'more = Marshmellow + Chocomunch + Crackeroo
- Choco-Banana Pupcake = Chocomunch + Banana
- Starlit S'morewich = S'more + Moonbeam Macaroon (yes, a dish you cooked can be an ingredient)
- Fruitoops = Banana + Grapelush
- Honeybutter Biscuit = Bready + Honeycrunch
The other 7 are secret and only appear in your book once you discover them by experimenting. Some secret recipes show a riddle-style hint on their locked card; the toughest ones show nothing at all. Your discovery count (x/12) is tracked on the Kitchen banner, and first-time discoveries are announced in the Kitchen's community feed, where you can watch what other chefs are making.
Stuck on a secret recipe?
The Dusty Recipe Book (epic, 5,000 MPC) reveals one random secret recipe you haven't discovered yet. It rotates through shop restocks at The Dusty Tome and EPIC Only, and the Kitchen page points you to a copy in stock when one is available.
Good habits
- Buy ingredients cheaply - Kitchen ingredients restock at the Food Emporium, Sweet Tooth Bakery, Grocery Store, and Corner Store.
- Cook the published recipes first for guaranteed results, then spend leftover attempts on experiments. Rare and epic dishes are worth far more than their common ingredients.
- Two-ingredient experiments cost less per failure than three-ingredient ones.
- Cooking counts toward "cook a dish" quests, and one successful recipe completes a task in Story Chapter 4.
