The Community Pond
A one-week community event at the Fishing pond: everyone adds bagged fish to one shared pond, and if the community fills it, every player who helped takes home the Lilypad Goldfish.
The Community Pond is a one-week community event at the Fishing pond. Every player stocks the same pond with bagged fish. If the whole community fills it to 750 points before it closes, a brand-new fish surfaces from under the lily pads, and everyone who added at least one fish takes one home.
Stretch goal: the pond stays open after the goal is reached. If the community keeps going to 1,500 points before it closes, everyone who added at least one fish gets a second Lilypad Goldfish — one for the tank, one to sell or trade.
The pond closes on Friday, September 25 at 12:00 PM MPT.
Where to find it
Open Fishing from the Games Center. The Community Pond panel is on that page, and it stays there even when you are out of casts for the day.
While the event runs, your dashboard also shows a Community Pond card with the shared progress bar — tap it to jump straight to the pond. The Aquarium page links to it from your backpack section too.
How it works
- Get bagged fish (see below).
- In the Community Pond panel, use the plus and minus buttons to pick how many of each fish to add, or tap Select all.
- Tap the green button, then tap it again to confirm. Fish you add stay in the pond for good.
The progress bar, the player count and the top stockers list belong to everyone, so they move whenever anyone adds a fish.

Which fish count
- Any bagged fish from the Aquarium Shop or the Fishing Pond counts — keepers you hook and fish you buy from Gill are worth exactly the same.
- Only fish in your backpack can be added. Fish swimming in your tank, fish listed in your shop and fish locked in a trade are never touched. To add a fish from your tank, move it to your backpack first.
- Hatched morphs can't be added. They only come from Fish Nests and are far too special for the pond.
Getting more fish
- Go fishing. Every solid catch has about a 12% chance to also hook a keeper, and a perfect catch lifts that by half again. You can hook at most 4 keepers a day.
- Use a Tackle Box (225 MPC at the shops that stock it). It resets you to a full 5 casts, and you can use up to two a day — more casts means more chances at keepers, though the daily keeper limit still applies.
- Visit Gill's Aquarium Shop. Every bagged fish he sells counts.
- Buy from other players. Bagged fish in player shops and auctions count too.
Something under the lily pads
The circle of water in the panel shows what is waiting. It starts as a murky shape. At 250 points the shape gets clearer, at 500 points you can see a flash of colour, and at 750 points it surfaces.
The prize: the Lilypad Goldfish
The Lilypad Goldfish is an epic fish in the goldfish family, with round green lily-pad fins and a pink water lily on its head. It only exists because of this event.
- Who gets one: every player who added at least one fish. The moment the goal is reached, everyone who has already helped gets a bagged Lilypad Goldfish in their backpack and a message from Gill. If you add your first fish after the goal is reached but before the pond closes, you get yours straight away.
- One per player for the goal, a second for the stretch goal. Adding more fish helps the community and moves you up the top stockers list, but the number of fish you add does not change your prize.
- New accounts: an account created after the event started needs a verified email to receive the prize. Verify before the pond closes and your next fish added will deliver it.
- It is a normal aquarium fish: add it to your tank, use it as a Fish Nest parent with other goldfish, or trade it while it is still bagged.
- It never drops from fishing, never appears in a shop and can't be added back to the pond.
If the community does not reach the goal before the pond closes, the Lilypad Goldfish stays hidden.
The stretch goal: a second Lilypad Goldfish
Most players will want their Lilypad Goldfish swimming in their own tank, which leaves nothing to trade. So the pond has a stretch goal.
- Once the pond reaches 750 points, the progress bar switches to the stretch goal of 1,500 points. The marker on the bar shows where the first goal was.
- If the community reaches 1,500 points before the pond closes, everyone who added at least one fish gets a second bagged Lilypad Goldfish and another message from Gill. Keep one for your tank and sell, trade or gift the other while it is still bagged.
- If you add your first fish after the stretch goal is reached but before the pond closes, you get both fish straight away.
- The same new-account rule applies: accounts created after the event started need a verified email.
- If the stretch goal is not reached, everyone still keeps the first fish.
Good habits
- Add one fish early. A single common fish makes you part of the event.
- Spare rares are worth 4 commons each. Duplicates sitting in your backpack are the fastest way to move the bar.
- Fish every day this week. Keepers are limited per day, so a missed day is a missed chance.
- Aim for perfect catches. They boost the keeper odds.
