Pet Backgrounds

Buy pet card backgrounds once and apply them to any of your pets, from 500 MPC rares up to the 1,000,000 MPC Diamond Vault.

Pet Backgrounds are collectible art that replaces the plain backdrop behind your pet on its card. They are purely cosmetic - no effect on stats - and once you own a background it is yours forever and can be applied to every pet you have at the same time.

Where to find it

The collection and prices

There are currently 64 backgrounds, spanning themes from cozy indoor scenes to fantasy landscapes and deep space:

  • 8 common backgrounds are free and available to everyone from the start.
  • 23 rare backgrounds cost 500 MPC each.
  • 23 epic backgrounds cost 1,000 MPC each.
  • 6 legendary backgrounds top the range: two at 5,000 MPC, three at 10,000 MPC, and the Diamond Vault at 1,000,000 MPC - the single most expensive cosmetic in the game.
  • 4 epic VIP backgrounds (VIP Royal Crest, VIP Velvet Lounge, VIP Golden Penthouse, and VIP Diamond Vault) cannot be bought at any price; they are included with VIP Membership for as long as you are a member.

Purchases happen right on the page with MPC. Each background is a one-time unlock - you never buy the same one twice, and the Shop tab only ever shows backgrounds you do not own yet.

Applying backgrounds

  1. Pick a pet in the selector - the preview card updates live.
  2. Browse the My Backgrounds tab (filter by rarity: common, rare, epic, legendary).
  3. Click a background to preview it behind that exact pet, then press Apply.
  4. Use Remove BG any time to return the pet to its default card.

Each pet stores its own choice, so you can give every pet a different look. Applying a background also counts toward daily quests that ask you to change a pet's background.

Beyond pet cards

Backgrounds you own do double duty: any of them can also be set as the storefront header of your own player shop, so a good background dresses up both your pets and your My Shop page.

Good habits

  • Start with the 8 free commons - they cost nothing and cover the basics like meadows, skies, and ponds.
  • Since one purchase covers all your pets forever, a 500 MPC rare you love is better value than it looks.
  • Preview before buying an expensive one: the preview shows your actual pet on the card, so you can check that a bright pet does not wash out on a bright scene.
  • The Diamond Vault is a long-term prestige goal; the 5,000-10,000 MPC legendaries deliver most of the flash for a fraction of the price.
