The Little Library works on a simple promise: take a book, leave a book. Free books appear on the shelf all day, and donating your own books directly rewards your active pet.

How claims work
Current live settings:
- The shelf holds 5 books, refreshed every 2 hours (on even hours).
- Each shelf slot rolls rarity: 80% common, 15% rare, 5% epic - so a rare or epic book shows up regularly if you keep checking.
- You can take 1 book per day. The daily limit resets at midnight MiroPets Time.
- Stock is first come, first served, and you need a free Backpack slot.
Donated books from other players appear on the shelf too, marked with the donor's name, and stay available for 48 hours.
Donating books
Donate any book from your Backpack and your active pet immediately earns 50 XP and 10 happiness. There is no limit on donations, which makes cheap books one of the most reliable XP sources in the game - a stack of common books converts straight into pet growth. Donated books stay on the shelf for 48 hours for others to take.
The page tracks your lifetime Books Taken and Books Donated, and the live activity feed shows who took or donated what.
Using books well
- Books are use items - most grant pet XP or happiness when read. Check the effect label on the shelf before picking.
- Set the pet you want to grow as your active pet before reading or donating - both reward the active pet.
- With 12 shelf refreshes a day but only 1 claim, browse a few refreshes before spending your daily take on a common book. An epic book is worth waiting for.
- Buy spare books cheaply at The Dusty Tome and donate them for the 50 XP - it is often better value than reading them.
