MiroTown

Walk around MiroPets with your active pet — every shop, game and activity is a building in a town of 10 districts.

MiroTown is another way to get around MiroPets: instead of a menu, a town. You drop in with your active pet and walk the streets — every shop, game, activity and hangout is a building, and walking up to its door takes you straight there. It changes nothing about how those features work; it is a place to be on MiroPets.

Where to find it

Open MiroTown from the Activities menu. The town fills the screen; the button in the top corner takes it full screen where your browser allows.

Getting around

  • Tap anywhere on the ground and your pet walks there, finding its own way around buildings and trees.
  • Drag anywhere to steer — a little joystick appears under your finger. Push it all the way to run.
  • Pinch (or scroll the mouse wheel, or press + / ) to zoom in and out.
  • On a keyboard: arrow keys or WASD walk, Shift runs, Enter goes through the door you are standing at, and M opens the Town Map.
  • Tap a mascot standing outside their building and they will say something. Every district has its keepers — Coach Roary at the Gym, Penny at the Bank, Rigby at the trailhead and so on.
  • Walk to the golden ring in front of a door and an Enter card appears — tap it to go inside. (Inside is the normal page for that feature.)
  • Roads lead out of each district past a signpost; walk off the end of the road to reach the next one.
  • The Town Map (tap the district name at the top) lists every district and every door. Tap a district to travel there, or tap a door to arrive right in front of it.

Walking speed is about 3.2 steps a second; running is 5.2. The town remembers where you were, so leaving through a door and coming back puts you where you left off.

Which pet comes along

Your active pet walks the town — the one shown in your pet sidebar. If that pet is away (at the Hotel, the Park, on an expedition or at School) the town asks you to pick a pet that is at home. There is no separate pet picker in town; set your active pet on My Pets as usual.

Every active NPC shop has its own storefront on Market Street (a few live nearer their trade — Rooty's Garden Shed on the Farmstead, the Aquarium Shop by the pond, Homeward Hollow and Boa's Boutique on Residential Lane). Features you have not unlocked yet simply have no building until you do.

One building is town-only: Bitey's, the pet fast-food restaurant on the Games Boardwalk (back row, beach side, next to the Park exit). It has no menu link anywhere else on MiroPets — the red storefront with the giant Wag Bag on the roof is the only way in.

Time and company

The town keeps MiroPets Time: dawn, day, dusk and night pass with the MPT clock. Pets that are currently playing at the Pet Park appear on the Park lawn, right where the Park's own map has them.

Other players are there too. Everyone walking the same district sees each other's pets, with their names above them. The chip at the top says how many pets are around. Tap another pet to see who it is and visit its owner's profile.

  • Say something: type in the box at the bottom (or press T) and your pet says it in a speech bubble that everyone nearby can read. Town chat follows the same rules and the same warnings and time-outs as Global Chat. Players under 13 can see the town but not chat.
  • Emotes: the round buttons above the chat box — wave, heart, laugh, ?, ! and Zzz — pop up over your pet.
  • Global Chat is in the corner as always, for talking to everyone on MiroPets rather than just the pets nearby.

If you stand still for five minutes the town quietly logs you out of the crowd; tap anywhere to rejoin.

Rewards

None for walking. MiroTown is a way to explore, not a way to earn — there are no coins or XP for time spent in town. Everything inside the buildings pays exactly what it always has.

If the town will not load

Older phones and browsers without WebGL see a list of every district and door instead of the 3D town, so nothing is out of reach.
