MiroTown Realty

Numbered house plots in MiroTown's neighborhoods, starting with Willowmere: 33 plots, sold at auction, one per account.

MiroTown has neighborhoods now: streets of real houses, each on a numbered plot. Own a plot and your house stands on the street with your number on the mailbox, and anyone who walks up to your front door steps into your MiroHome. MiroTown Realty is where plots are bought, and Rosco the raccoon runs the office.

Where to find it

  • Menu: Pets > Realty
  • In MiroTown: the Realty office is on Residential Lane. The road out of Residential Lane's south side leads to Willowmere.

Willowmere

Willowmere is the first neighborhood: a lakeside street with willows over the water, a little dock and a welcome arch at the top of the street. It has 33 plots, #1 to #33.

SizePlotsStarting bid
Big3200,000 MPC
Medium1050,000 MPC
Small2015,000 MPC

Size is just how big the house is. A Big plot gets a grand house at the back of the street, and a Small plot gets a cottage near the lake. Every plot gets the same MiroHome behind the door: no extra rooms, slots or perks.

Two more neighborhoods are planned: Honeycomb Heights (#34 to #66) and Bramblewood (#67 to #100). Each opens on its own date, later.

Plot numbers

Every plot has a number that never changes, and the number plus the neighborhood is its address: #12 Willowmere. The numbers run across all the neighborhoods, so #1 to #33 are in Willowmere and the next neighborhood starts at #34. The address is on the plot's mailbox in town, on its Realty listing, and in every Realty mail.

Buying a plot at auction

Each plot's first sale is an auction. Willowmere's launch auctions close on Saturday, October 10 at 8:00 PM MPT, and a plot that comes back on the market later gets a 5-day auction. Open the Listings tab, pick a plot and place a bid. (Plot #1 already has an owner, so it is not in the launch auctions.)

  • The first bid must be at least the plot's starting bid. After that, each bid has to beat the top bid by the same steps as the Auction House: 500 MPC while the top bid is under 50,000, and 1,000 MPC from 50,000 up.
  • Your MPC is held as soon as you bid. If someone outbids you, it comes straight back to your wallet and Rosco sends you a mail. If you raise your own top bid, only the difference is taken.
  • No sniping. A bid in the last 10 minutes pushes the end of the auction back to 10 minutes from that bid.
  • You can lead on only one plot at a time, because each account can own one plot. To bid on a different plot, wait until you are outbid on the first.
  • When the auction ends, the top bidder owns the plot. Rosco mails you, and your house is on the street right away.

Plots the Realty sells

If an auction ends with no bids, the Realty keeps the plot and sells it at its starting bid: first come, first served, with a Buy button on Listings. You can't buy one while you are leading an auction.

Who can buy

  • Accounts at least 30 days old and level 10 or higher.
  • One plot per account. If you already own one, you can't bid or buy.
  • The Listings tab tells you if your account isn't ready yet, and when it will be.

Your plot

  • Pick your house. Every size has 10 house designs, free. Open My Plot at the Realty to choose one, and switch whenever you like.
  • Your front door is your MiroHome. Anyone who walks up to your house in MiroTown and taps Enter visits your home, with its usual privacy.
  • Privacy. If your profile isn't public, your house shows only "A MiroPets neighbor": no username and no link to you.
  • The house belongs to the plot. Whoever owns the plot owns the house design on it.
  • Stay active. Plots are for active neighbors. If you don't visit MiroPets for 75 days, Rosco sends you a mail (and an email, if you get MiroPets emails). If you still haven't been back by day 90, your plot goes back up for auction (always at least 7 days after his warning). When it sells, you get the price minus a 10% fee; if nobody bids, the Realty sells it at its starting price and pays you the same way. Just logging in keeps your plot, and your MiroHome itself is never touched.
  • Reselling your plot to another player isn't open yet. It is planned.

The other tabs

  • Plots: every neighborhood's plots as a board, with each house and whether it is owned, at auction or for sale. Tapping a plot's door in town opens its card here.
  • Sales: the latest sales and the record price for each plot size.

Good habits

  • Look at a plot in MiroTown before you bid: every card on Listings and Plots has a See it in MiroTown button that walks your pet straight to that plot's front door.
  • Bid what the plot is worth to you, and keep that MPC in your wallet. A held bid can't be spent somewhere else.
  • Watch the end of an auction. A late bid adds 10 minutes, so the last few minutes can go on for a while.
