Hide & Seek
Every 3 hours a mascot hides on a page somewhere in MiroPets. Only the first 10 players to spot them peeking from the edge of the screen win their sticker. 3 stickers a day earns 300 MPC, 15 a week earns the weekly prize, and finding all 31 mascots earns a Charm.
Peek, a forest lizard in a cape of leaves, has talked the town's mascots into a never-ending game of hide and seek - with you. Every 3 hours one of them slips away and hides on a page somewhere in MiroPets. Find them, tap them, and their sticker goes in your Sticker Book at /hide-and-seek/.
There is no game page to sit on. The hunt happens wherever you already are - in the shops, at the Bank, in the Wiki - which is rather the point.
When they hide
A new mascot goes into hiding 8 times a day, always on the half hour (MPT): 12:30 AM, 3:30 AM, 6:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 3:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 9:30 PM. Each one stays until 10 players have found them or the next hiding time arrives, whichever comes first.
Finding them
- Open your Sticker Book (Activities menu → Hide & Seek) or hover the menu entry. It tells you who is hiding - and, for the first 60 minutes, nothing else: "Sterling is hiding somewhere in MiroPets - no clues until 1:30 PM MPT."
- Use what you know. Mascots usually hide around their own haunts - Rooty near the Garden, Penny around the Bank, Atlas in the Wiki - but every so often they wander anywhere in town. Peek - the leaf-caped lizard who runs the game - could be absolutely anywhere. Your Sticker Book shows each mascot's usual haunt once you have found them.
- On the right page, watch the edges of the screen. The mascot peeks in from the side or the bottom - ears, eyes, a tail. Tap or click them.
The hint gets more generous the longer nobody finds them:
- For the first 60 minutes there is no clue at all - just who is hiding. Finding them this early is pure knowledge of their haunts (and luck), which is why the speed bonus exists.
- After that the hint names the exact page - but spotting them there is up to you.
- After 120 minutes the mascot starts fidgeting so they are easier to spot.
Only the first 10 players to find a hiding mascot win the sticker. Once the 10th player taps them, the mascot slips away and the page goes quiet until the next hiding time - so when the hint drops, move. You can only find each hiding mascot once, but the same mascot will hide again another day and that bumps the count on their sticker.
What you earn
- Every find: the sticker, plus 10 XP for your active pet (care modifiers apply, as everywhere).
- Speed bonus: the first 10 finders also get 50 MPC on top. One per household connection per hiding spot.
- Daily prize: find 3 mascots in a day (MPT) and claim 300 MPC in your Sticker Book.
- Weekly prize: find 15 in a week (Monday to Sunday) and claim the weekly prize - an item from the Hide & Seek prize pool, or 1,500 MPC while the pool is empty.
- Charms: Seeker for your first find, Quick Draw for being the very first to find a hiding mascot, and Found Them All once every mascot in town has a sticker in your book. See Charms.
- Bragging rights: the moment someone finds a mascot first, Peek announces it in Global Chat - along with how many stickers are left. Keep an eye on chat if you want to know when a hunt is on.
The Sticker Book
One slot per mascot - 31 right now. Slots you have not found yet are greyed out; found ones show the mascot, how many times you have caught them, and whether you were ever the very first finder. The book also shows today's hiding times, this week's top seekers, and the most recent hideouts.
When a new mascot moves to town they get a new slot in everyone's book. If you had already earned Found Them All, you keep it - the new arrival is simply one more to go and find.
Tips
- You do not need to be online all day. Three finds a day is the daily target, and five of the eight hiding times fall between 9:30 AM and 9:30 PM MPT.
- Learn the haunts. Once you know Sous hides around the Kitchen and the food shops, you can often find them before the first clue drops.
- Sharing where a mascot is hiding in Global Chat is allowed - but remember there are only 10 stickers per hiding, so a tip-off is a gift.
- The mascot never hides inside a game in progress, on account pages, or on checkout pages.
