Findley

Findley the owl searches every shop, player listing, and auction at once, shows real market prices, and alerts you when watched items restock.

Findley is the wise owl who sees every shop in MiroPets at once. Instead of clicking through 14 NPC shops, player shops, and the auction house hoping an item is in stock, ask Findley - he checks everywhere and tells you the cheapest place to buy right now. For player shops he quotes the cheapest listing at or above the item's market floor (see My Shop), so a stray joke-priced listing does not pose as the going rate; if a sub-floor listing is the only one, he still shows it.

Where to find it

Searching

Search by item name or by what you want the item to do. Findley understands plain-language searches like "hunger", "XP", "gym", "free game", "backpack", or "luck" — so "heal" finds all the medicine even if you don't know a single item name. Multi-word searches match too: "luck potion" finds the Wishing Well Luck Potion. Plurals are fine ("potions", "berries"), and an item type works as a search on its own - "seeds", "collectibles", "medicine".

Findley shows every matching item, not just the first few. Best matches come first: exact names, then names that start with your word, then items whose type matches, then items that only mention it in their description. Inside each of those groups, anything you can buy right now is listed before out-of-stock items, most-bought first. Long lists are split into pages of 40, with the page links under the last result.

Searching by effect. Under the search box Findley lists the effects your words touch, as chips like "Restore Hunger" or "Heal HP" with a count beside each. Click one and the results become only the items that carry that effect — no more items that happen to mention the word in their description. Typing an effect's own name does the same thing. If you wanted the plain word search after all, the "search by name instead" link at the top of the results puts it back.

For every result, Findley shows:

  • NPC shops currently stocking it, with live stock counts and price.
  • Player shop listings, cheapest first.
  • Active auctions for the item.
  • Market data - average, lowest, and highest player-sale price over the last 7 days, plus all-time sales volume. This is how you tell a fair player price from a rip-off.

The page also shows what other players searched recently and the most-bought items of the last 3 days - a quick read on what the market cares about.

The Watchlist

Rare items are only in stock occasionally, since NPC restocks roll rarity randomly every hour. Rather than checking back, click Watch on any item:

  • You can watch up to 10 items at a time, or 25 as a VIP member.
  • Need more? A Findley's Watch Ticket (2,000 MPC, rare, sold at the Ticket Counter) permanently adds 5 slots on top of whatever your base is. Tickets stack up to 20 extra slots (4 tickets), and the extra slots stay yours whether or not you are a VIP - a VIP with every ticket watches 45 items. When your list is full, Findley points you to the ticket himself.
  • A pet's discovered favorite food is always watched for free — it never uses a slot, no matter how many pets' favorites you track. Free favorite watches get their own Favorite Foods section on the watchlist page, kept apart from your regular watches.
  • Findley watches every source, not just NPC shops: hourly restocks, Swap Swamp arrivals, new player shop listings, and new Auctions. Any of them can trigger your alert.
  • By default he messages you when a watched item goes from unavailable anywhere to available, with a direct link to the source - the shop opens with that item first on the shelf, ringed and tagged "Findley match". If it is already on sale somewhere, a second seller listing it is not news and does not ping you.
  • Alerts for the same item arrive at most once every 24 hours, so your inbox stays sane.

Target prices

Set a target price on any watched item and the alert changes meaning: instead of waiting for it to be available at all, Findley pings you the moment it is obtainable at or below your price - and only when nothing was already available that cheap. It is the tool for expensive items that are always in stock but rarely a bargain.

Watching is free, and adding an item to your watchlist counts toward daily quests when one is active.

The Items menu in the header keeps an eye out too: whenever any of your watched items are for sale somewhere, a count appears next to Findley — Findley (3) means three of them are buyable right now.

Good habits

  • Check Findley's market data before buying anything expensive from a player shop or auction.
  • Watch the specific rare items you're hunting (Luck Potion, vials, battle gear) instead of camping RARE Finds.
  • Put a target price on anything you want but would not overpay for - it turns a noisy watch into a single, useful message.
  • The Kitchen's recipe cards link every missing ingredient straight to a Findley search, marked (in stock) when it's buyable somewhere right now.
  • Search by effect when you have a problem ("health", "hatch time") rather than guessing item names, then click the effect chip to see the full list of items that fix it.
  • Check your own Backpack first - Findley finds items to buy, not ones you already own.
