Favorite Toys
Every pet has a secret favorite toy. Find it by playing with different toys: it doubles the toy's happiness, and the first play each day gives +25 bonus XP.
Every pet has a secret favorite toy: one specific toy they love more than any other. Nobody tells you which one it is. To find out, play with different toys until your pet goes wild for one of them.
Discovering the favorite
- Your pet's page shows Favorite Toy: ??? in the About card until you find it.
- Play with a variety of toys. The moment you use the favorite, a celebration pops up, a notification lands in your inbox, and the toy is revealed on the pet page from then on. It's marked Favorite! in the Play grid too.
- Every pet's favorite is different, even pets of the same species. It's picked at random the moment they hatch.
- Favorites are always common toys from the shops (up to 1,000 MPC, currently 70 possible toys). Almost all of them are sold at the Toy Chest, and many turn up at the Corner Store, Sports Outlet and Odds & Ends Outlet too.
Free play clues
Free hourly play on the pet page sometimes comes with a clue (about a 25% chance each time) while the favorite is still a secret. Your pet either gives away the first letter of the toy's name or how much it sells for in the shops (under 200, 200 to 499, or 500 MPC or more). Collect a couple of clues and you can narrow the list down to just a few toys.
The bonus
Playing with the favorite toy is worth it every single time:
- The toy's happiness boost is doubled, along with any second effect it has.
- The first favorite play each day also gives that pet +25 bonus XP. XP boosts make it bigger, and a hungry pet earns less, just like any other XP.
- The bonus works even before you've discovered the favorite. That big reaction IS the discovery.
Track it on Findley
Once discovered, a favorite toy can be watched on Findley for free, just like a favorite food. It never uses one of your watchlist slots, and the discovery celebration has a one-click Track on Findley button.
Tips
- Buy a few different cheap toys instead of a stack of one. Every new toy you try is a chance at the reveal.
- Care for All on your Pets page knows each pet's favorite toy even before you do. If it's in your backpack, the plan picks it first for that pet and tags it Fav!.
- Toys with several uses go further when they're the favorite. Every use gets doubled happiness, but the XP bonus only comes once a day per pet.
- Playing from a friend's toy chest in MiroHomes counts too.
- Every pet that had already hatched got a favorite toy as well.
