Feeding and Caring for Pets

Hunger drops 2 points and happiness 1 point per hour - here is exactly how to keep pets fed, happy, healthy, and growing.

Pet care in MiroPets runs on three stats that drain on a fixed clock. Once you know the numbers, keeping every pet at 100 takes a couple of minutes a day.

Where to do it

  • Open any pet from your Pets page or Dashboard - the pet page has Feed and Play cards built in.
  • You can also use items straight from your Backpack.

How decay works

Current live rates, applied hourly:

  • Hunger drops 2 points per hour.
  • Happiness drops 1 point per hour.
  • Health only drops (1 point per hour) while hunger or happiness is below 20. Keep both above 20 and health never decays on its own.

Eggs are exempt from all decay - they just need about 15 minutes to hatch after adoption. Pets boarded at the Hotel or visiting the Pet Park are also completely skipped by decay while away. VIP members' pets decay 25% slower across the board.

Feeding

  • Food items restore hunger; each item lists its exact amount. Feeding also counts toward daily quests.
  • The pet page has a Feed All Hungry shortcut that works through your food supply across every hungry pet at once.
  • Stock up at the Food Emporium and the Grocery Store, and grab your free Pantry item - you can claim one every hour.

Happiness and play

  • Toys and books restore happiness, and some grant XP too.
  • Free play on the pet page gives +10 happiness and +3 XP with no item at all - once per hour per pet. It is the cheapest care button in the game; press it on every pet, every visit.

Health

  • Health drops from starvation/sadness (see above) and from Gym training (3-5 per session).
  • Restore it with medicine items from the Healing Hut or a visit to Dr. Harris at the Vet (4 MPC per point, 50 MPC minimum, includes 2 hours of health-decay protection).

XP and growth

  • Babies evolve into adults at 2,500 XP (and roll their starting combat stats). Feeding, free play, games, the Gym, and XP items all move that bar.
  • XP-granting items respect the pet's active XP boost buff, so use a boost first, then the XP items.
  • Many games award XP to your active pet, and only while it is at home or in your den - set the right active pet before a game session.

Good habits

  • A full care pass: Feed All Hungry, free play on each pet, claim the Pantry item. At 2 hunger per hour, a pet fed to 100 is fine for a full day - the 20-point danger line is 40 hours out.
  • Never let hunger or happiness sit under 20; that is the only thing (besides the Gym) that burns health.
  • Going away for a while? Board pets at the Hotel - stats are topped to 100 and frozen for the whole stay.
