The Swap Swamp
Snapper the alligator pays over catalog price for items no NPC shop is stocking - and his offer climbs all day.
The Swap Swamp is Snapper the alligator's pawn shop. He buys items that no NPC shop is currently stocking, pays more than the catalog price for them, and puts them back on his own shelf for other players to buy. If you are sitting on items nobody sells any more, this is where they are worth the most.

- The nav link shows a green "Sell N" badge with the number of sales you have left today.
Snapper's wishlist
Snapper only buys what is on his wishlist, which rerolls every night at midnight MPT.
- 4 slots per day, typically two common, one rare, and one epic item.
- Each slot wants a limited quantity - usually 3 copies of a common, 2 of a rare, 1 of an epic. Once a slot is filled, it is done until the next reroll.
- Unfilled slots do not roll over.
- To make the list, an item has to be unavailable in every NPC shop right now, and legendary items are never wanted.
Every wishlist card shows the exact MPC Snapper is offering, and the page counts down to the next reroll.
His offer climbs all day
Snapper's offer starts at its lowest right after the midnight reroll and rises steadily through the day, reaching its peak just before the next reroll. The longer a slot sits unfilled, the more he pays for it. If you can afford to wait, selling in the evening pays noticeably more than selling in the morning - just don't wait so long that another player fills the slot first.
The price you are paid is the offer at the moment you sell, not the one that was posted at midnight.
Selling to Snapper
- You can make 2 sales per day. That is 2 transactions, not 2 items, so sell a full stack in one go rather than one at a time.
- Copies you have listed in your shop or that are trade-locked do not count as sellable - unlist them first.
- Partly used items cannot be sold. Snapper only takes items with all their uses left.
- If the item comes back into stock at an NPC shop before you hit sell, the sale is refused. Snapper will not buy what you could get from a shop.
Snapper's shelf
Everything Snapper buys goes onto his shelf for anyone to buy, at a markup over what he paid. The shelf is the only place many of these items are available at all.
- Stock is player-sourced, so it changes daily and is first come, first served.
- Items that sit unsold get clearance price cuts after a week, and a second cut after two weeks.
- Findley treats the shelf as a source, so watchlisted items will ping you when they land here.
Items bought from the shelf do not count toward your Expedition Journal - the journal only records things your pets actually found.
Good habits
- Check the wishlist every morning, then sell late in the day for the better price.
- Watch the shelf for items you have hunted through Shops all week without luck.
- Expedition loot and retired seasonal items are the most likely things you own to show up on a wishlist.
