Cast a line and time the bite. Nine catches from Minnow to Legendary Whale, and perfect timing pays half again.
Fishing is a game of timing. Cast your line, wait for the bite, and strike at the right moment. What you hook is luck; how much it pays is not — a perfectly timed strike is worth half as much again as a merely good one.

Timing
Your strike multiplies whatever you hooked:
- Perfect — one and a half times
- Good — full value
- Okay — three quarters
- Miss — a quarter
Every cast pays at least 5 MPC, so even a mistimed boot is worth something. Coin boosts and your active pet's happiness are applied on top of whatever you earn. Playing on consecutive days builds a daily streak worth up to +50% coins, and every 7th day in a row is a free play — see Games.
What else comes up
- Some catches are keepers you can put in your Aquarium rather than sell — a perfect strike makes a keeper more likely. Keepers are capped at 4 a day, and the pond leans toward species you haven't discovered yet.
- There is a small chance of pulling up a rare Tackle Box item, and that chance doubles on a perfect strike.
Plays and your pet
- You get 5 casts a day, reset at midnight MPT. VIP members get 7.
- Out of casts? Reset-fishing items (Tackle Box, Fishing Tips, Angler's Almanac) refill them, and you can use one right from the fishing page — no trip to the backpack needed. Limit of two resets per day.
- Your active pet earns 15 XP and +5 happiness per cast.
Good habits
- Never settle for "good". Perfect timing is worth 50% more on every catch, including the Whale.
- Cast all five. The rare tiers are only 9% of catches between them, so the odds need the attempts.
- Time it perfectly when you want keepers — the Aquarium drop and the Tackle Box drop both improve.
Fishing has no all-time trophy in The Trophy Case. Its only measurable score is coins, and coin totals are recorded after boosts are applied — a record there could be bought rather than earned.
