Account Settings
Profile visibility, dark mode, email preferences, username changes, blocking, and the account basics — every section of the Settings page explained.
The Settings page is where you shape how MiroPets looks, what your profile shows other players, and the account basics — email, password, username, and blocking. It is one page with everything in sections, so this article walks them top to bottom.

Profile settings
- Bio — up to 500 characters, shown on your public profile.
- Profile visibility — Public (anyone), Friends only, or Private (just you). This also controls who can view your pets' public pet pages. See Friends and Mail for how friendships work.
- Show online status — whether others can see the green online dot.
- Accept trade offers for my pets — off means nobody can ask for your pets in the Haggle Hut and you stop getting "someone wants your pet" alerts; pets you put up for trade yourself are unaffected. To keep some pets open and close others, use Choose which pets on the Haggle Hut's Wanted tab.
- Show stock portfolio and show net worth — control what the Stock Market and wealth cards reveal on your profile.
- VIP badge — VIP members can hide the badge if they prefer to fly under the radar.
- Dark mode — switches the whole site's theme instantly.
- Show Global Chat — hides or shows the Global Chat panel across the site.
Email notifications
Pick how much mail you want: Important + daily summary (urgent alerts arrive promptly, everything else bundles into one summary at 6 PM MPT), Important only, or Off. Below the frequency picker, checkboxes control which categories email you at all. The bell-icon notifications on-site are separate — those live in Notification Settings.
Email verification
Not verified yet? This section resends the email, which carries both a link and a 6-digit code. Type the code into the gold banner at the top of any page (or the reward card on your Dashboard) to verify without leaving the site. Verifying unlocks trading features and pays a one-time reward — see the Getting Started Guide.
Change username
- Costs 10,000 MPC, once every 30 days.
- Same rules as signup: 3-16 lowercase letters and numbers, unique across the site.
- Your password is required to confirm.
Blocked users
Block a player by username and they can no longer message you or interact with you socially; unblock them from the list here whenever you like. For anything beyond a personality clash, see Rules and Safety.
Change email and password
Both need your current password. Changing email moves your verification status to the new address.
Delete account
The permanent exit, at the very bottom for a reason. You must type your account email to confirm, and it cannot be undone. One kindness on the way out: Rehome my pets (checked by default) places your hatched pets in the Adoption Center for other players to care for, free — uncheck it and they are deleted with the account. If you are a VIP member, any VIP subscription is cancelled automatically as part of deleting the account, so you are never billed again. You do not need to cancel it separately first.
Good habits
- Set email to Important + daily summary before turning anything off entirely — one digest at 6 PM MPT keeps you informed without inbox noise.
- Verify your email early; half the trading features and a one-time reward wait on it.
- Think twice before paying for a username change — 10,000 MPC buys a lot of pet food, and the old name is released for anyone to claim.
