Rules and Safety
The real MiroPets rules: age restrictions, trading requirements, the one-account policy, and how blocking and reporting work.
MiroPets is built for players of all ages, and a few concrete rules keep it fair. This page summarizes the official Game Rules - read the full version there.
Where to find it
- Game Rules: /rules
- Also: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Report, and Contact
Age requirements
Everyone provides their birthdate, and it must be real - a false birthdate violates the Terms of Service. Players under 13 cannot use the social messaging features:
- Sending or replying to Mail
- Den Chat
- Posting on the Message Board
Everything else - games, pets, shops, trading, system notifications - works normally for younger players.
Trading requirements
Two requirements unlock player-to-player commerce (current live setting):
- A verified email address
- Account level 3 or higher
These apply to creating and accepting Haggle Hut trades and counter-offers, listing items in your shop, creating auctions, rehoming pets, and donating to den pools. You can always buy from shops, bid on auctions, and adopt from the Adoption Center without them.
One account per person
Multi-accounting - extra accounts for more daily rewards, self-trading, or self-referrals - is strictly prohibited and actively detected. Getting caught risks permanent bans on all accounts and confiscation of items.
Code of conduct
- Be respectful: no harassment, bullying, discrimination, hate speech, or slurs.
- Play fair: no cheating, bots, or bug exploits (report bugs instead), and no real-money trading of items or accounts.
- Keep it safe: never share personal information (yours or anyone's), and never share your password.
- Trade honestly: no scams, no deception, no pressuring - and accept a "no" gracefully.
How moderation actually works
- Mail messages, den chat, and every Message Board post and title are automatically screened before they go through; flagged content is blocked on the spot.
- The Message Board escalates: first violation is a warning, second is a 24-hour posting ban, third is a permanent posting ban.
- Site-wide consequences scale from warnings and temporary mutes up to permanent bans and item confiscation. Moderator decisions are final; appeals go through /contact.
Blocking and reporting
- Block a player from their profile page or by username in Account Settings. Blocking stops mail and friend requests in both directions.
- Report at /report - choose Player Report (rule violations, include what happened, where, and any evidence) or Bug Report (what you did, what happened, how to reproduce it). Reports go straight to staff.
- If someone bothers you: stop responding, block, report. Never retaliate in public threads.
