Message Board
The MiroPets forum: seven sections, rich item and pet cards in posts, thread subscriptions, and a three-strike moderation system.
The Message Board is the public forum where players ask questions, show off pets, talk trades, and report bugs.
Echo, the town crier
Echo is the rainbow bird in the tricorn hat at the top of the board. Echo keeps an eye on the conversations and rings the bell in Global Chat when:
- a new player posts in Introductions, so everyone can stop by and say hi,
- a new thread gets its first reply from another player, so the conversation can grow,
- a thread gets lively: 3 or more replies from at least 3 different players in a day (once a week per thread).
Echo's chat messages link straight to the thread. Like the other mascots, Echo waits a while between announcements, so a busy day won't flood the chat.
Where to find it
- Direct link: /board/
- Also in the Talk menu in the top navigation. A count in brackets next to Board, like (3), is how many new posts other players have made since you last opened any board page. Your own posts never count. Opening the board clears it. If you have never visited, it counts at most the last 14 days.
Finding new posts
- New for You sits at the top of the board when you are logged in. It lists up to 6 threads with posts you haven't seen yet: threads you have never opened, or ones with new replies since you last read them. Threads where you wrote the latest reply are left out, since there is nothing new there for you. It looks back 30 days. Tap a thread to jump straight to the first post you missed. The orange tag shows how many new posts are waiting. Mark all read clears the list.
- The same list, up to 5 threads, shows on your Dashboard as New on the Board.
- Hot This Week shows the threads with the most replies in the last 7 days.
- Latest Posts at the bottom of the board shows the 10 newest posts from everyone, with new threads marked.

Posting rules
Current live settings:
- You must be account level 2 or higher to post.
- There is a 30-second cooldown between posts.
- Thread titles are 3-200 characters. When you start a thread, the board suggests similar existing threads so you can join one instead of duplicating it.
- Sections show 25 threads per page; threads show 20 posts per page.
- Players under 13 cannot post (see Rules and Safety).
Post features
- Like any post you find helpful. Like counts show on the post, and you can take a like back.
- Quote a post to reply to it directly - the quoted player gets a notification, unless they have muted board replies in Notification Settings.
- Mention players with @username to link their profile.
- Emotes: emoticons like :) and <3 turn into MiroPets emote images - the full code list is in Global Chat.
- Subscribe to any thread to get notified about new replies. Starting a thread subscribes you automatically.
- Rich cards: type `[[item:Name]]`, `[[pet:Name]]`, or `[[game:slug]]` in a post to embed a linked card for that item, pet species, or game. Typing @ and one of your own pets' names picks the pet for you. A pet card shows the pet's care stats, its Intelligence, and (for adults) its battle stats, and links to the pet's own public page. Pasting a miropets.com URL turns it into a clean internal link.
- You can edit your own posts (they get an "edited" marker) and delete your own replies. The first post of a thread cannot be deleted on its own - delete the thread instead.
- Locked threads accept no new replies or edits.
- Report a post that breaks the rules and it goes straight to the moderation queue.
- Unread markers: threads with replies you have not seen are dotted, and you can jump straight to the first unread post.
- Search every thread and post at /board/search.
Moderation: three strikes
Every thread title and post is automatically screened before it appears. Content that violates community guidelines is rejected and counts as a strike:
- First strike - a formal warning by system message.
- Second strike - a 24-hour posting ban.
- Third strike - a permanent posting ban.
Board strikes do not wear off on their own, and den boards share the same count. Think one was a mistake? See Moderation Warnings.
Moderators can also remove posts, lock or pin threads, and issue bans directly. If you see something the filter missed, use the report button on the post itself rather than replying to it.
Good habits
- Post in the right section - trade talk belongs in Auctions & Shops or MiroMarket, not General.
- Use rich cards when asking about an item or pet; people answer faster when they can see exactly what you mean.
- Like the answers that helped you - it is the fastest way to show a thread has been solved.
- Forum posts count toward the "Forum Friends" den quest, so active posters help their den too.
Den boards
Every den has its own board, but it is a separate place from this one rather than a private corner of it. Den topics never appear in board search, on the public board index, or on your profile, and each den's leader and officers moderate their own board.
