Notification Settings
Choose which of the 29 kinds of MiroPets notification reach your bell. 26 are adjustable, 3 stay on for account safety, and changes save instantly.
MiroPets tells you when something happens — a pet needs feeding, you were outbid, a friend request arrived. All of it lands under the bell. Notification Settings is where you decide which of those are worth interrupting you for, so the bell means something when it lights up.
Where to find it
- Direct link: /account/notifications
- Menu path: your username - Settings - Notification Settings
- Or the Settings button at the top of your Notifications page
The three places notifications reach you
MiroPets can reach you in three different ways, and each has its own controls.
- In game — the bell in the Talk menu, and the Notifications page behind it. This is what Notification Settings controls.
- Push — alerts on your phone or desktop, even when MiroPets is closed. Set up at /account/push, or by tapping "Alert me when it hatches" when you adopt an egg.
- Email — set the frequency and pick which kinds you want under Settings.
Turning something off in Notification Settings also stops the matching push alert, because a phone buzzing about something you just switched off is not much of a setting. Email is separate and keeps its own controls.
What you can change
There are 29 kinds of notification, sorted into 5 groups:
- Pets & Care — Your pets, the Pet Park, and expeditions. 5 settings.
- Marketplace & Trading — Auctions, your shop, Findley, and the stock market. 12 settings.
- Community — Boards, dens, friends, and your guestbook. 6 settings.
- Messages & Account — Mail and anything affecting your account. 4 settings.
- Achievements — Charms and game milestones. 2 settings.
Each one has its own switch, and every group has a Turn all off button if you would rather clear the whole section in one go. Changes save the moment you flip a switch — there is no Save button to forget.
Notifications that stay on
3 kinds cannot be switched off, and they are marked Always on:
- Account, payments, and security — VIP, payments, and anything touching the safety of your account.
- Moderation notices — warnings and account actions.
- Notification delivery problems — the one that tells you your email address is bouncing. Muting it would hide the reason everything else went quiet.
What new players start with
Most notifications start switched on. Two start off for brand-new accounts — the routine running totals that MiroPets does not email you about either: Stock dividends, Game milestones and results. Switch them on any time.
If you already had an account before these settings existed, nothing changed for you — everything you were getting, you still get, until you decide otherwise.
Reading your own numbers
The panel at the top of the page shows how many notifications you received in the last 30 days, how many you actually opened, and which kind accounted for the most. That last one is the place to start — though loudest does not always mean least wanted. Findley watchlist alerts, for example, only exist because you asked for that item, so a shorter watchlist is usually a better fix than the switch.
The bell counts unread notifications from the last 30 days only, so an old backlog will not sit there inflating the badge forever.
Good habits
- Start from the summary panel — it tells you what is actually filling your bell, which is rarely what you would have guessed.
- Keep the ones you act on. Being outbid, a pet in poor health, a shop sale, and a watchlist item coming up for sale are all time-sensitive, and there is no way to get them back once the moment passes.
- Turn off anything you already check by habit. If you visit the Pet Park every day anyway, you do not need to be told what happened there.
- If you want fewer emails rather than fewer notifications, change the email frequency under Settings instead — that leaves the bell alone.
- Come back after a week. The 30-day summary will show whether your changes actually helped.
