Supported Browsers & Devices
MiroPets runs in any browser from 2020 or newer - on a computer, an iPhone or iPad on iOS 13.4+, or Android with a current Chrome. Older browsers load the pages but nothing on them responds; here is what to do if that happens to you.
MiroPets is a website, not an app store download, so it works anywhere a reasonably current web browser does - a computer, a phone or a tablet. You can also add it to your phone's home screen and it behaves like an app.
What you need
A browser from 2020 or newer. In practice that means:
- Safari on iPhone / iPad: iOS 13.4 (March 2020) or newer
- Safari on Mac: Safari 13.1 (macOS 10.15 / 10.14 with the update) or newer
- Chrome (computer or Android): Chrome 80 (February 2020) or newer
- Firefox: Firefox 74 (March 2020) or newer
- Microsoft Edge: Edge 80 (February 2020) or newer
- Samsung Internet: Samsung Internet 13 (2020) or newer
Anything newer than these is fine, and every current phone, tablet or computer ships with something far newer.
"The pages load but nothing works"
If you are on a browser older than the ones above, MiroPets pages still open, but the buttons on them do nothing - you can't adopt a pet, feed one, or start a game. When we detect this we show a page that explains it at /unsupported-browser instead of leaving you tapping.
Your account is not affected. Signing up still works, and anything you have is waiting for you: log in from a supported device and you will pick up right where you were - a brand-new account will find its first egg still waiting at the Adoption Center.
What to do:
- Update the device. On an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch: Settings › General › Software Update. On Android: update Chrome in the Play Store.
- Use another device. Any phone, tablet or computer from the last few years is fine.
On an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, every browser - Chrome and Firefox included - uses the same engine as Safari, so installing a different browser won't help; only a newer iOS will. Some older devices (an iPod touch 6th generation, for example, stops at iOS 12) cannot be updated far enough, and there's unfortunately nothing we can do about that.
