Journal

Your private diary: one entry per day, editable forever, with moods, pet tags, writing ideas, a calendar, and search. Unlocked by the 2,000 MPC Journal item.

The Journal is a private diary attached to your MiroPets account. Only you can read it - it never appears on your profile, to friends, or anywhere public.

Where to find it

  • Direct link: /journal/
  • Once unlocked, Journal appears in your account menu (tap your name or picture in the top navigation).
  • Without a Journal, the page shows what it does, where the Journal item is for sale right now, and a button to add it to your Findley watchlist.

How to unlock it

Journal access comes from the Journal item:

  • Type: book, epic rarity
  • Base price: 2,000 MPC
  • Open your Backpack, press Use on it and read it to any of your pets once. The Journal unlocks for good. The locked Journal page walks you through these steps.

The Journal item rotates through NPC shop restocks at the Corner Store, Toy Chest, The Dusty Tome, and EPIC Only - it is not always in stock, so grab it when you see it, or check player shops. Reading a second copy after you have unlocked it is a story-only read: your pet still gets the Intelligence, but nothing else happens. See Pet Intelligence.

Writing an entry

The Journal keeps one entry per day, and the writing desk at the top of the page opens on today.

  • Each entry holds up to 5,000 characters, with a live counter under the page.
  • Press Save Entry (or Ctrl+S / Cmd+S on a keyboard). The page saves without reloading.
  • Chat emotes work here too - use the Emotes button under the page, or type codes like :) and (y).
  • Days end at midnight MPT.

Stuck for something to say? The Need an idea? box has a writing prompt every day. Press Another for a different one, or Write about it to drop it into your entry. Some prompts are about your own pets.

Moods and pets

Every entry can carry a mood, shown on the entry and on the calendar:

  • Happy Happy
  • Excited Excited
  • Loved Loved
  • Silly Silly
  • Tired Tired
  • Meh Meh
  • Sad Sad
  • Grumpy Grumpy

Tap a mood again to clear it. You can also tag one of your pets under About a pet? - type part of a pet's name or species to find them fast, and their picture appears on the entry. Press the small x to remove the tag.

The calendar

The calendar on the page shows every day you have written, with that day's mood. Tap any day to open it:

  • Past entries open ready to read or change.
  • Missed days open blank, so you can write about a day after it happened. You can go back as far as the day you joined MiroPets, but not ahead into the future.

The list under the writing desk shows the entries for the month on the calendar - use the arrows to flip between months, or tap the month name to jump straight to any month you have written in (it shows how many entries each one has). Empty months never hide your older writing: an empty month points you to your nearest entry with a button to go there, and every month ends with links to the next newer and earlier months that have entries. The search box finds any entry that mentions a word, across every month.

Your stats sit at the top of the page: total entries, entries this month, and your streak of days in a row. Today counts once you write it; until midnight, a streak that ended yesterday is still safe.

When you have been writing for a while, an On this day card shows what you wrote a week, a month, six months or a year ago.

Editing and deleting

Every entry can be changed or deleted, forever:

  • Edit on an entry opens it in the writing desk. Save to keep the changes; entries changed after their day show a small "Edited" note.
  • Delete removes just that entry, after you confirm.
  • Emptying the page and saving deletes that day's entry too - the Journal never keeps blank pages.

If you switch days, close the page, or lose your connection before saving, the Journal keeps your unsaved writing on that device and offers it back next time you open that day. Press Discard it if you do not want it.

Journal tools

The Journal tools box on the page has three options:

  • Download my journal (.txt) - saves every entry, oldest first, as a text file.
  • Delete all entries - clears every entry but keeps your Journal, ready for a fresh start.
  • Remove Journal from my account - deletes every entry AND removes the Journal. Getting it back means reading another Journal item.

Both delete options ask you to confirm and cannot be undone, so download a copy first if you might want your entries later.

Privacy notes

The Journal is private, but treat it like any game text box: never store passwords, payment details, or real-life addresses in it. See Rules and Safety for the full guidelines.

Good habits

  1. Stuck? Press Another a few times until a prompt clicks.
  2. Missed a day? Tap it on the calendar and fill it in while you still remember.
  3. Looking for an old entry? Tap the month name on the calendar, or search for a word you remember writing.
  4. Download your journal now and then to keep a copy of your favorite days.
