Mystery Box

A rolling live auction for a sealed box of 3-8 items - bidding starts at 1,000 MPC and the box sells 2 hours after the first bid.

The Mystery Box is a nonstop live auction. One sealed box is up for bids at a time, holding 3 to 8 random items. You see how many items are inside and their rarity breakdown (for example "1 Epic, 2 Rare, 3 Common") - but not what the items are until the box is won.

Where to find it

  • Direct link: /mystery-box/
  • The site menu flags the Mystery Box when a box is live, and shows whether you are leading or have been outbid.

How the auction works

  • Bidding starts at 1,000 MPC.
  • Each new bid must beat the current bid by at least 10% (rounded up).
  • A fresh box sits with no timer until someone bids. The first bid starts a 2-hour countdown, and the timer never extends - the box sells exactly 2 hours later to whoever is on top.
  • Your coins are held while you are the highest bidder. If you are outbid, the full amount is refunded instantly and you get a mail telling you so.
  • You can raise your own leading bid to discourage challengers - you only pay the difference.
  • Every bidder gets a mail warning 10 minutes before the box closes.
  • The moment a box ends, a new sealed box appears within a minute.

What's inside

  • Every box holds 3 to 8 items. The first item is guaranteed rare (85%) or epic (15%).
  • Each remaining item rolls 5% epic, 15% rare, 80% common.
  • The winner's items go straight to their backpack, along with a commemorative Opened Prismatic Mystery Box collectible and a mail listing everything that was inside.
  • The page's history section reveals the contents and final price of recent boxes - study it to learn what boxes actually sell for.

Bidding smart

  • Price the box off its rarity line, not the mystery. A "1 Rare, 2 Common" 3-item box is worth far less than a "2 Epic, 1 Rare, 3 Common" 6-item box, yet both start at 1,000 MPC.
  • Because the countdown never extends, the last minutes decide everything. If you want a box, be online near the end - a bid with 30 seconds left cannot be answered slowly.
  • Remember your coins are locked while you lead. Do not park coins in a bid that you need for pet care or shop restocks.
  • Your first bid ever unlocks the Mystery Bidder charm, and the daily quest of the same name counts Mystery Box bids.
  • Compare against Auctions and Shops prices before bidding past the opening price - the reveal history shows when winners overpaid.
