Penalty Shootout
Five spot kicks against the keeper. Aim, height and power in three taps — corners pay 30+25 MPC, and a perfect 5/5 adds 75.
Penalty Shootout is you against the keeper: 5 spot kicks, and every one you bury is worth coins. Each shot is three quick taps — where to place it, how high, and how hard — so it rewards timing rather than reflexes. Place one in the corner and the keeper has no chance.

Taking a shot
Every shot is three taps on a sweeping marker. Tap anywhere on the pitch, press SPACE, or use the button under it:
- Direction — a line sweeps left and right across the goal. Lock it where you want the ball to cross the line.
- Height — a line sweeps from the ground up to the crossbar.
- Power — a meter fills up. The green stripe is the sweet spot; the red stripe at the very end is too much.
Power adds lift, so a high aim and heavy power will sail over the bar. The keeper picks a dive — left, centre or right — at the moment you strike, and never sees where you aimed. Firm, high shots are the hardest for the keeper to reach, but the nearer you place the ball to the way they dive, the more likely the save.

A corner goal is one placed wide of the keeper or lifted high into the net. You will know when you have hit one — the game shouts TOP CORNER!, BOTTOM CORNER! or TOP BINS!
A flawless shootout — all 5 scored, every one a corner, a streak of 5 — pays 400 MPC before any bonuses. Coin boosts and your active pet's happiness are applied on top of whatever you earn.
Plays and your pet
- You get 5 shootouts a day, reset at midnight MPT. VIP members get 7.
- Your active pet is your striker and stands behind the ball. It earns 20 XP and +5 happiness every shootout you finish.
- A happier pet pays out more coins, so it pays to keep your striker in good spirits — see Pet Stats Explained.
- A missed shot never costs you anything beyond the goal itself, and finishing always pays at least 10 MPC.
Leaderboard
Today's Top Strikers shows the ten best shootouts of the day, ranked by coins won with goals as the tie-break, and it clears every day. Penalty Shootout has no all-time trophy in The Trophy Case — a flawless five-goal shootout is common enough that the record would never change hands.
Good habits
- Go wide. A corner goal pays nearly double a central one, and it is the placement the keeper struggles to reach.
- Stop the power in the green. The extra distance buys you very little, and anything in the red clears the bar for nothing.
- Protect a streak. Three in a row starts paying, and each further goal raises the whole bonus — a safe fourth goal is worth more than a risky one.
- Bring a happy pet. Your striker's happiness lifts every payout, and each shootout tops it back up.
