Egg Basket
Eggs you own but have not named yet wait in your Egg Basket. Confirm an adoption egg and it is yours at once; name it whenever you are ready and it starts hatching.
Your Egg Basket holds every egg that is yours but doesn't have a name yet. An egg in the Basket is safe: nobody else can take it, and it never expires. Its hatch timer doesn't start until you give it a name, so there is no rush to pick one.

- A banner on your My Pets page and a notice on your dashboard appear whenever an egg is waiting.
How eggs get there
- Adoption Center eggs. Pick an egg and confirm it. That one step makes it yours: it leaves the shelf, your nest is spent, and your adoption cooldown starts. You go straight to the Basket to name it. An adoption egg holds one of your pet slots while it waits, so you can't fill that slot with something else in the meantime.
- Inviting Friends rewards. The Partylotl egg lands here when you claim it. Like before, it arrives even if your pet slots are full.
- MiroPass Prestige eggs. Claimed eggs show up here as well as on the MiroPass page. Naming one still needs an open pet slot.
Naming an egg
Type a name and the Basket checks it as you go. Names are 3-16 characters, lowercase letters and numbers only, and must be unique across all of MiroPets. The name is permanent unless you pay 2,500 MPC later to rename.
When you name it, the egg becomes a pet and starts hatching:
- Adoption eggs use the timer of the nest you spent (Cozy Nest 15 minutes down to Rainest 6 minutes, and 2 minutes for a brand-new account's first egg), plus that nest's XP head start.
- Invite and MiroPass eggs hatch 15 minutes after naming.
Name your last waiting egg and the Basket takes you straight to your new pet.
