Aqua Maze

Dive through descending underwater mazes. Pays a quarter of your score, up to 400 MPC.

Aqua Maze sends your pet down through one underwater maze after another. Each one you solve takes you deeper, and the question is simply how far down you get before you run out of room.

Swimming

  • Tap or press a direction to swim one cell; hold it to keep going until something stops you.
  • On a phone, swipe to move a cell at a time.
  • Collecting golden pickups and chaining moves without a wrong turn both push your score up, and clearing a maze cleanly carries a bonus.

What you earn

Your payout is a quarter of your score, with a floor of 10 MPC and a cap of 400 MPC. Coin boosts and your active pet's happiness are applied on top of whatever you earn. A daily streak adds a further percentage — see Games.

Full screen

On a phone, a swipe that starts near the edge of the screen can be taken by the browser as a back gesture instead of a swim. Full screen fixes that: the Full screen button under Dive In (and the same icon at the right of the oxygen bar while you play) takes the maze edge to edge and hides everything else, so every swipe lands on the maze. On a desktop it fills the height of the window instead.

  • Swipes work anywhere in the play area, including the water around the maze.
  • The results card and Play Again stay inside full screen, so you can go straight into the next dive.
  • Leave with the same button, the Escape key, or your phone's back gesture. Aqua Maze remembers your choice, so once you've turned it on it comes back on when you press Dive In next time.

Plays and your pet

  • You get 5 dives a day, reset at midnight MPT. VIP members get 7.
  • Your active pet earns 15 XP and +5 happiness per dive.

Trophy

This game has an all-time record in The Trophy Case, held by whoever has the most points in a single dive in a single run.

Good habits

  1. Hold, do not tap. Holding a direction crosses open water in one move and keeps a chain going.
  2. Depth is the score. A tidy shallow maze is worth less than a messy deep one, so keep descending.
