Air Hockey is a real-time head-to-head table game: drag your paddle around your half of the table, smack the puck, and defend your goal. First to 7 goals wins. Play a quick match against the AI, or queue up against another player for bigger rewards.

Where to find it

How to play

  • Drag anywhere in your half — with a finger or a mouse — and your paddle chases the spot at top speed. Faster strikes send the puck flying harder.
  • Your paddle can't cross the center line, and the puck loses a little speed as it glides, so positioning and angled strikes beat frantic swiping.
  • After a goal the puck resets with a short countdown, and the player who conceded gets possession.
  • First to 7 goals wins. If a match somehow runs past 5 minutes, the leader wins — a tie goes to golden goal (next goal wins).

Modes

Practice vs AI

Instant match against a computer opponent with three difficulties — Easy, Normal, and Hard. Harder opponents react faster and aim better, but every paddle on the table obeys the same speed limit: the AI never gets superpowers.

Find an Opponent

Join the queue and you're matched with the next player searching. If nobody shows within about 20 seconds, an AI stand-in jumps in so you're never stuck waiting (stand-in matches pay AI-level rewards).

Paddle colors

Pick from 8 free paddle colors before each match. Colors are purely cosmetic — every paddle has identical size, speed, and striking power. If both players pick the same color, the opponent's paddle gets a contrasting outline so the table stays readable.

  • Air Hockey coins cap at 500 MPC per rolling 24 hours.
  • Your selected pet earns XP too: 2 XP per goal you score, plus 10 XP for a win or 4 XP for a loss (up to 250 XP per rolling 24 hours).
  • Leaving a match early counts as a forfeit — your opponent gets the win and full rewards, and quitting right at the start pays you nothing.

Disconnects

Lost your connection mid-match? The game pauses and you have 30 seconds to rejoin — reload the page and you're placed right back at the table. If you stay gone, the match is forfeited to your opponent.

Tips

  1. Don't chase the puck into your own goal mouth — meet it from the side so a block can't deflect in.
  2. Strike through the puck: start your drag behind it and follow toward the target corner.
  3. A resting paddle blocks better than a flailing one. Park in front of your goal, then lunge.
  4. Bank shots off the side walls are the easiest way past a camping defender.
  5. After you concede you get possession — use the serve to set up an angled attack instead of pushing straight ahead.
