Deal Yourself In: Spider Solitaire Arrives, and Solitaire Gets a New Deck

Pull up a chair at the card table — the Games Center has a brand-new card game today, and the old favourite sitting next to it has had a top-to-bottom refresh.

Spider Solitaire arrives

Spider Solitaire is the long-form card puzzle: two full decks spread across ten columns, and one goal — build eight complete runs from King down to Ace, each in a single suit. Any card can sit on a card one rank higher, but only a run of matching suit moves as one, so the whole game is about keeping suits together while you dig for the cards underneath.

Pick your deck when you deal. 1 Suit is the relaxed way to learn the rhythm, 2 Suits starts to bite, and 4 Suits is the real thing. Wins pay 300, 450 or 700 MPC by tier, with a speed bonus on top, and even a forfeit pays 15 MPC for every run you cleared before you gave up. You get three games a day (VIP members get five), and every game earns your active pet XP and Intelligence.

Classic Solitaire, rebuilt

Regular Solitaire has been quietly playing the same hand since March, so it got the full treatment at the same time:

• Draw 3 mode. The classic Draw 1 game is still there at 250 MPC a win. Draw 3 turns the deck three cards at a time — harder, and worth 350 MPC plus a bigger speed bonus.
• A MiroPets deck. Jacks, Queens and Kings now wear real MiroPets faces — Purrpink, Barkwood and Frostyserpent — and the card backs carry the MiroPets logo on a paw-print pattern.
• Tap to move. Tap a card and it goes to the best spot; drag it if you want to choose yourself. Undo is free and unlimited, and an Auto-finish button appears once every card is face-up.
• Any Ace, any foundation. The foundations are no longer tied to a fixed suit order, the way real Klondike plays.
• Pick up where you left off. Your game is saved as you play, so a closed tab or a dead phone battery no longer costs you the deal.
• Fairer speed bonus. The bonus now fades over six minutes instead of three, so a careful win still gets something for pace.

Under the hood, every move in both games is now checked on the server, so the Trophy Case records are genuine.
