The Otter's Table: Sous Opens a Restaurant, and He's Buying Your Cooking

Sous the Otter has been dreaming about this for a long time. Next door to the Kitchen in MiroTown's Farmstead, he has opened his very own restaurant: The Otter's Table. And the best part? He wants to buy your cooking.

A new menu every day

Every night at midnight MPT, Sous writes up a fresh menu of three dishes:

• a Quick Bite, quick and cheap to make
• a House Favorite, a little fancier
• a Chef's Showpiece, one of the Kitchen's grandest dishes

Cook any of them in the Kitchen that day, carry it over, and Sous will buy it. You can sell him one of each dish per day.

Sous pays more than the ingredients cost

This is the big news for every cook in MiroPets. Normally a cooked dish is worth a little less than its ingredients, because cooking is meant for feeding your pets. At The Otter's Table, Sous pays you everything the ingredients cost, plus 200 to 325 MPC of profit on every dish.

Sell all three and you'll make 600 to 975 MPC of profit a day, on top of getting your ingredient money back. Each menu card shows exactly what Sous will pay.

The chef's rules

• Fresh only. Sous only buys dishes you cooked yourself today. A dish bought from another player, or one from yesterday's pot, won't sell.
• One of each. Three dishes, three sales a day.
• Secrets on the menu. Sometimes one of the dishes is a secret recipe. If you've discovered it, you're in luck. If not, the menu shows Sous's hint so you can go hunting.

How to get there

• Walk your pet through MiroTown to the Farmstead and look for the cottage with the blue-and-white awning. The sign on the door shows today's menu.
• Or open the Kitchen: a new banner at the top shows what Sous is buying today, and after you cook a menu dish the result screen tells you what he'll pay for it.

There's also a brand-new daily quest, Order Up!, that asks you to sell a dish or two to Sous.

One more Kitchen change

The Kitchen's daily limits (your cooking attempts, the first-cook bonus, the Pantry Stall and the Second Helping Ticket) now reset at midnight MPT, at the same moment as the Recipe of the Day and Sous's new menu. Before, they quietly reset at 8 PM MPT.

Tips from Sous

• Check the menu first, then plan your cooking attempts around it.
• The Quick Bite is the easiest place to start and still pays at least 200 MPC profit.
• Cooking a menu dish still earns everything the Kitchen normally gives you: your first-cook bonus, XP for your pet, and the chance of a bonus portion. If Sous slips you an extra portion, feed it to your pets!
