Gill's Spring Tonic: Get Your Fish Back on the Nest

Waiting a whole week for your fish to rest after a nest? Not anymore. Gill's Spring Tonic is on the shelf at the Nesting Nook from today, and it gets a tired fish back on the nest right away.

How it works

After a nest, both parents rest for 7 days before they can nest again. Give a resting fish a Spring Tonic and its rest is over on the spot, so it's ready to pair up right away.

To use one, find the resting fish in the Your Fish cards under your tank (or tap it in the water) and press Spring Tonic. Gill checks with you first, so you'll never use one by accident.

Legendary fish take their time

Legendary fish are too proud to be rushed. That includes the Prism Arowana and the Moonlit Anglerfish, and every Prismatic morph, since those are legendary too. For them, a tonic takes 3 days off their rest instead of ending it, so a legendary can be back on the nest in 4 days instead of 7. If a legendary has 3 days or less left, the tonic finishes its rest completely.

A few house rules

  • One tonic a day. Gill says one a day keeps the fish happy.
  • One tonic per fish per rest. Once a fish has had a tonic, it can't have another until after its next nest.
  • A fish that is still sitting on a nest can't take a tonic. Check the nest first.
  • A refused tonic is never used up. It stays in your backpack for next time.

Each tonic is 3,000 MPC, and the Nesting Nook always has them in stock.

This one came straight from the Road Map, where spookybaby asked for a way to skip the wait after nesting. Thanks for the idea! Full details are on the Aquarium wiki page.
