Rooty's Orders, Garden Helpers and Five New Seeds

Gardens have only been open ten days, and they are already one of the busiest corners of MiroPets — seeds sell out of Rooty's shelf within minutes of every restock, and more than seven thousand crops came in last week alone. So Rooty has been busy. Here is everything new in The Garden today.

Rooty's Orders

Every day at midnight MPT, Rooty pins three crop orders to a new board in your garden. Each one asks for a handful of a crop you can already grow. Deliver it straight from your backpack — crops you grew yourself only, bought or traded copies don't count — and Rooty pays the crops' full catalog value — twice what a shop would give you — plus Green Thumb XP, and about four times in ten he slips a seed packet into the bag as thanks.

Orders stay up for a day and a half, then fresh ones take their place. If you have been sitting on a backpack full of Ember Peppers, this is what they were waiting for.

Friends can water your garden

Every garden has a public page, and from today, logged-in visitors can water one plot a day for you. Tap any growing plot on a friend's garden page and it stays watered for another 12 hours. Rooty tips helpers 25 MPC, and you will get a note the first time someone lends a hand each day — the day's helpers are listed right under your beds.

Five new seeds

Rooty's Garden Shed now stocks five new packets:

• Strawberry Seeds, Blueberry Seeds and Pumpkin Seeds — quick eight-hour commons that grow Strawberries, Blueberries and Sweet Pumpkins.
• Starfruit Seeds and Cloudberry Seeds — day-long rares. Starfruit is the secret behind Starfruit Sorbet, and Cloudberry finally explains Cloudberry Crumble; both dishes (and Pumpkin Spice Puffball) have new Kitchen recipes waiting to be discovered.

And a fix for the master gardeners: Crownberry Seeds and Starbloom Bulbs were rated legendary, which meant the shop roll could never stock them. They are epic now, so they will finally turn up on the shelf. They still take a week to grow and still need Green Thumb level 10.

Green Thumb goes to 20

Green Thumb used to stop at level 10. It now climbs to level 20, and every level past 10 makes your crops grow 2% faster — up to 20% at the top. Level 15 adds a fourth daily order from Rooty, and level 20 unlocks Seed Saver: a perfectly tended harvest has a one-in-five chance of handing you the seed packet back.

Decorate

Purely for looks, and long overdue: a Picket Fence, Stone Lanterns, a Flower Border, a Birdbath and a Koi Pond are all at the Shed. Place them once and they stay, on your garden and on your public page.

Rooty will let you know

Crops ready to harvest? Plots gone thirsty for a few hours? Rooty now sends a notification — once per episode, never a nag. Both can be switched off under Garden updates in Notification Settings.
