Rain Barrels, Gift Wrap and Mystery Seeds: Three New Items Hit the Shelves

Three brand-new items just landed on the shelves of Miro — one for impatient gardeners, one for generous friends, and one for anyone who likes a surprise. Here's what they do and where to find them.

Rooty's Rain Barrel

Rooty has been saving up rainwater, and he's finally selling it. Tip a Rooty's Rain Barrel over your Garden and every growing plot jumps four hours ahead, with the beds left soaked for the rest of the day. That's half a bed of carrots grown in an instant, or a healthy head start on a week-long Crownberry.

A few things Rooty wants you to know before you pour:

• Ripe plants, troubled plants and empty plots are skipped — the rain only goes where it helps.
• If nothing is growing, the barrel politely refuses and stays in your backpack.
• Use it from your Backpack or with the new Rain Barrel button right in your garden.

Gift Wrap

Ever wanted to hand a friend that spare Moonberry, a toy their pet would adore, or just a little something for no reason? Now you can. Buy a roll of Gift Wrap, head to your Friends page, tap Gift next to a friend, pick one item from your backpack and add a short note. Your friend gets a notification, and the wrapped parcel waits at the top of their backpack until they open it — with your note inside.

Pebble asked for a couple of house rules so gifting stays friendly:

• Gifts go to friends only, and you need to have been friends for at least 7 days.
• One gift per friend every 24 hours, and up to 5 gifts a day in total.
• One item per parcel — never coins — and only items you could trade anyway.

500 MPC (common) at the Corner Store and the Odds & Ends Outlet. The Gift button only appears once you've got a roll in your backpack.

Mystery Seed Packet

Rooty's unlabeled packet. Open it from your backpack and out comes a random seed — about half the time a common, a good chance of a rare, and now and then something epic. It's the cheapest way to get your paws on an epic seed, if the packet feels like it. Your Green Thumb level still decides what you're allowed to plant, so keep harvesting.
