Ask Atlas: The Trail Guide Now Takes Questions in Private
Atlas has kept the Wiki since summer and answered the odd question in Global Chat, one line at a time. Starting today he takes questions properly. Ask Atlas is a private chat with the trail guide himself, open to every player at Ask Atlas, and unlike his chat one-liners he can hold a real conversation, look things up while you wait, and check on your own pets.
What he can do
- Explain how anything works. Ask about the Gym, expeditions, the Haggle Hut, anything. He reads the Wiki article before he answers and links it under his reply so you can check his work.
- Check on your day. "What should I do today?" gets your Daily Hub progress, daily quests, which pets are hungry, how many plays you have left and whether an expedition is back, laid out as a numbered trail.
- Check on your pets and your things. Which pet is hungriest, when an egg hatches, how far a baby is from growing up, what an item is worth right now, whether your shop is priced above your rivals, whether a trade offer is fair.
- Do small chores, with your say-so. Feed or play with a pet using something you already own, care for every pet at once, collect a finished expedition, claim a Daily Hub or quest reward, switch your active pet, add an item to your Findley watchlist. He sets up a card and nothing happens until you tap Confirm.
What he will not do is play the game for you. Atlas never buys, sells, trades, adopts, plays games or spends MPC on your behalf. He points; you walk.
Three ways to reach him
- The Ask Atlas page in the Talk menu, or the button at the top of the Wiki. On a phone, tap Full screen and the conversation takes the whole screen.
- The Atlas button in Global Chat. Open the chat bubble on any page and tap the reindeer in its header. The conversation opens in a panel without leaving where you are, and he knows which page you are on, so "how does this work?" is enough.
- Ask in Global Chat as before. If his one-liner cannot cover it, he now hands you straight into Ask Atlas with your question already typed.
The other keepers pitch in
Open that panel in the Kitchen and it is Sous who answers. In the Gym, Coach Roary. In the Garden, Rooty. Every keeper reads from Atlas's guides and can check your pets the same way. Same conversation, different voice.
Questions per day
Every player gets 30 questions a day, and VIP members get 100. The count resets at midnight MPT. If you run dry, the Ticket Counter now stocks a new pass:
One ticket per day, and the extra questions vanish at midnight like the rest.
A word on getting it wrong
Atlas only says what the Wiki and your own game data tell him. If neither has the answer he says so rather than guessing. He can still slip, so every reply has thumbs under it. Tap the thumbs down when he misses and say why; those reports go straight into the pile of Wiki pages to fix. Conversations are kept for 30 days for that purpose, then deleted. He will politely refuse anything personal, so keep names, birthdays and schools to yourself.
Full details are in the Ask Atlas guide. Or, you know, ask him.
