Pinball Pals is a real pinball table set in a tiny MiroTown, with flippers, bumpers, a ramp and a chrome ball. Your active pet rides along: it stands on a pedestal in the middle of the table, cheers your big shots and droops when the ball drains.

Where to find it

  • Direct link: /games/pinball
  • Menu path: Play → Games → Pinball Pals

Controls

  • Flippers: the left and right arrow keys (also Z and M, or the two Shift keys). The right button also works the small upper flipper.
  • Launch: hold Space (or the down arrow) to pull the plunger back, and let go. The longer you hold, the harder the launch.
  • Nudge: the up arrow, A or D, or the Nudge button. A nudge can save a ball, but nudge too often and you get a warning; after two warnings the next one tilts and the ball is lost with no bonus.
  • On a phone: hold the left or right half of the table for that flipper. When a ball is waiting to launch, hold the right half to pull the plunger and let go to launch. The Full screen button gives the table the whole screen.

The table

  • Skill shot: one of the three top lanes by the wishing well blinks when you launch. Land the ball in it first for 250,000 points.
  • P-E-T lanes: light all three top lanes to raise the end-of-ball bonus multiplier, up to 6x. The flipper buttons move the lit lanes.
  • Snack Bar bumpers: three bumpers topped with a Chewbone, Fish Jerky and Berry Jam.
  • Rainbow Ramp: the big centre ramp. Shoot it hard enough and the ball rides the rails over the table and back to the left flipper.
  • Fortune Loop and Trail Loop: the two outer loops. The Fortune Loop has a spinner that pays for every spin.
  • E-G-G-S targets: four egg drop targets. Knock them all down to light a lock at the Cozy Nest.
  • Treasure chest: a captive ball under Captain Cove's chest. Hit it to send it up into the chest.
  • Gym targets: Coach Roary's two targets. Hit both to relight Dr. Harris's kickback in the left outlane, which saves one ball that would have drained there.
  • Ball save: for the first few seconds of each ball, a drain gives you the ball back.

Feed, Play and Train

Three meters at the top of the table follow the same care your pet gets every day:

  • Feed: 30 bumper hits.
  • Play: 6 ramps or loops.
  • Train: 6 Gym target hits.

Each full meter is worth 150,000 points. Meters carry over from ball to ball.

Mascot modes

When your pet's pedestal glows, hit your pet to start the next mode. The modes always come in the same order. After a mode, 3 more pet hits light the next one.

  • Shots that count for a mode pay on their own too, even if the timer runs out.
  • Finish two modes in one game for an extra ball.

Hatching Multiball

  • Knock down all four E-G-G-S targets to light a lock, then shoot the ball into the Cozy Nest to lock it.
  • 3 locks start Hatching Multiball with 3 balls in play and a ball save for the first few seconds.
  • During multiball the Rainbow Ramp scores a jackpot (250,000, growing by 50,000 each time). After two jackpots, the Cozy Nest pays a super jackpot of 1,000,000.

Best Friends Forever

Fill all three meters and play all five modes, and your pet's pedestal lights for the wizard mode. Hit your pet to start Best Friends Forever: a 4-ball multiball where every major shot is a jackpot, starting at 300,000 and growing with each one. When it ends, the meters and modes start over for another lap.

Plays and rewards

  • 5 games a day, reset at midnight MPT. VIP members get 2 more. Each game has 3 balls.
  • Every game pays 15 MPC, plus 1 MPC for every 70,000 points, up to 150 MPC a game. Reaching Best Friends Forever adds 50 MPC.
  • Daily streak: playing on consecutive days adds +5% coins per day, up to +50%, and the first game on every 7th day is free.
  • Your active pet earns 20 XP a game. Coin boosts and your pet's happiness are applied on top.
  • Practice is free and unlimited, but practice games pay nothing and do not reach the leaderboards.
  • A game counts the moment you start it. If you leave in the middle, the game waits for you for 30 minutes; after that it is scored up to the last ball you finished.
  • Every game is replayed on the server from your flipper and plunger presses, so the score you see is the score that counts.

Leaderboards and trophy

  • The Today board shows each player's best game today, and the Friends board shows your friends' best games of all time.
  • The all-time highest score holds The Golden Flipper in The Trophy Case.

Good habits

  1. Hold a flipper up to catch the ball. A cradled ball gives you time to aim.
  2. Aim with the opposite flipper. The right flipper shoots the left side of the table (the Fortune Loop, the Treasure chest, the eggs), and the left flipper shoots the right side.
  3. Start modes early. Your pet is lit for the first mode at the start of the game.
  4. Clear the eggs for multiball. Three locks is the fastest way to a big score.
  5. Nudge gently. One nudge can save a ball; three in a row will tilt.
