The Velumis Join the Adoption Center: One Guaranteed Egg Every Hour, All Week

For a month, the only way to bring a Velumi home was to climb all 75 levels of the August MiroPass and crack open the Prestige egg at the summit. Starting today, MiroPets' first original species takes its place on the shelves of the Adoption Center alongside every other animal in the game.

What is on the shelves

• 29 Velumis are now adoptable: all ten common colours, all ten rare themes, and nine of the epic themes. The Legendary Velumis (Chrome, Gold, Stained Glass, Opal and Obsidian) stay off the shelves, exactly like every other species.
• Velumi eggs roll into the normal rarity draw from now on, so they will keep turning up long after this week ends.
• Kara's sighting notes: the Velumi is a pear-bodied creature with a cream face patch, three crown fronds, four stubby legs and a single closed loop of a tail with one gleaming bead riding inside it. Baby Velumis are mostly loop.

The featured week

Through Monday, September 14, at least one Velumi egg is guaranteed on the board at the top of every hour, on top of the usual nine-egg refresh. A banner above the shelves shows the featured species and counts down to the end of the week. As always, keep a spare nest in your backpack so a great egg does not slip away while you shop.

A note for the Prestige finishers

Everyone who reached Level 75 in August was the first to own a Velumi, and nothing about that changes: your Prestige-hatched pet keeps its hatch date, and the Stained Glass Velumi stays vial-only. Opening the species up simply means the rest of the world finally gets to meet the creature you have been showing off in Loop Defense for a month.
