Pet Intelligence Has Arrived: Raise a Genius
Some pets are born fighters. Some are born snackers. And starting today, any pet can become a scholar — because every pet in Miro just gained a brand-new lifetime stat: Intelligence.
What is it? Intelligence is a number that only ever goes up, earned every time your pet exercises its brain. It never decays, it never resets, and if a pet is ever traded to a new home, everything it learned goes with it. As the points pile up, your pet climbs through five titles: Curious, Bright (10), Clever (25), Brilliant (50), and the one every bookworm dreams of — Genius (100).
How do pets get smarter? Two ways:
- Puzzle games. Finish a round of a thinking game while your pet is your active companion and it earns +1 Intelligence — or +2 for a strong performance: win the game, clear the board, solve it fast. Eight games count: Word Worm, Arcane Cipher, Potion Sort, Pet Match, Gem Mine, Solitaire, Four in a Row, and Aqua Maze. The Wheel and its lucky friends don't count — spinning is not thinking, and deep down we all knew it.
- Books. Use any book item on a pet and the pet studies it: +1 for a common book, +2 for rare, +3 for epic or legendary. Books still do everything they did before — the wisdom is on top.
Each pet can earn up to 10 Intelligence a day from games and 5 a day from reading, so the title of Genius is earned the honest way: a little studying, every day.
Every pet keeps a reading list. Your pet's page now shows exactly how many of Miro's 44 books it has been read, plus the latest title on its nightstand. Fill the shelf — the Little Library and the book corners of the NPC shops are full of material, and yes, reading counts toward the collection even after the day's Intelligence cap is full.
And of course, there are Charms. The first of your pets to reach 25 Intelligence earns you the Clever Companion charm (plus 500 MPC), and the first to hit 100 earns the Certified Genius charm and a 2,500 MPC bonus — one of the longest, proudest grinds in the game.
You'll spot the new stat everywhere: on pet cards, on every pet's page with a progress bar toward the next title, and floating up in purple every time a game or book pays out. So — which of your pets is the smart one? Set them as your companion, deal the cards, open a book, and find out. Full details in the Wiki.
