The Community Pond: Fill It Together and Something Special Surfaces

Something is hiding under the lily pads at the Fishing pond, and it is going to take all of us to coax it out.

Starting today, the pond is a Community Pond. Every player stocks the same water with bagged fish, and every fish counts toward one shared goal: 750 points. If we fill the pond before Friday, September 25 at 12:00 PM MPT, whatever is down there surfaces, and everyone who added at least one fish takes one home.

How to help

Head to Fishing and find the Community Pond panel. Pick the bagged fish you want to add, tap the green button, and tap again to confirm. That is it. The panel is there even when you are out of casts for the day.

Rarer fish fill the pond faster:

• Common fish are worth 1 point
• Rare fish are worth 4 points
• Epic fish are worth 10 points
• Legendary fish are worth 25 points

Keepers you hook at the pond and fish you buy from Gill's Aquarium Shop count exactly the same. Only fish in your backpack can go in, so nothing swimming in your tank is ever touched. Hatched morphs are too special for the pond and can't be added.

Need more fish?

Go fishing. Every solid catch has a chance to hook a keeper, and a perfect catch boosts the odds. Out of casts? A Tackle Box resets them, and you can use up to two a day.

Watch the water

The circle of water in the panel shows what is waiting for us. Right now it is only a murky shape. At 250 points it gets clearer. At 500 points you will catch a flash of colour. At 750 points it surfaces.

Gill says he has never seen anything like it, and he has seen a lot of fish.

One fish is enough

You do not need a full backpack to be part of this. Add a single common fish and you are in. If the community reaches the goal, the prize lands in your backpack with a message from Gill. If you add your first fish after the goal is reached but before the pond closes, you get yours straight away.
