Willowmere Opens: Bid on a House in MiroTown

MiroTown has a new street, and for the first time, you can own a piece of it. Willowmere, a lakeside neighborhood with willows over the water, is open, and every house on it stands on a numbered plot that a player can own.

A real address

Willowmere has 33 plots, #1 to #33. Each plot's number and neighborhood make its address, like #12 Willowmere, and the number never changes. It is painted on the plot's mailbox, it is on every listing, and it goes with the plot whoever owns it.

Own a plot and your house stands on the street. Anyone who walks up to your front door in MiroTown and taps Enter steps straight into your MiroHome. If your profile isn't public, your house simply says "A MiroPets neighbor".

Meet Rosco

Plots are sold by MiroTown Realty, run by Rosco the raccoon. The office is on Residential Lane, and Willowmere is just down the road from it, through the welcome arch on the south side. You can also go straight to the Realty from the Pets menu.

Bidding is open

The auctions are open now on 32 plots (#1 already has an owner), and they all close on Saturday, October 10 at 8 PM MPT.

• Big plots (2): grand homes at the back of the street, starting at 200,000 MPC
• Medium plots (10): family houses, starting at 50,000 MPC
• Small plots (20): cottages near the lake, starting at 15,000 MPC

Size is only how big the house is. Every plot gets the same MiroHome behind the door.

Your MPC is held when you bid and comes straight back if someone outbids you, with a mail from Rosco to let you know. A bid in the last ten minutes adds ten more, so nobody wins by sniping. Each account can own one plot, so you can lead on one auction at a time.

Plots are open to accounts at least 30 days old and level 10 or higher. A plot that gets no bids stays at the Realty, for sale at its starting price.

Plots are for active neighbors. If an owner doesn't visit MiroPets for 90 days, Rosco writes to them first, and then the plot goes back up for auction. The former owner gets what it sells for, minus a 10% fee.

Pick your house

Every plot size comes with ten house designs to choose from: gingerbread cottages, mushroom houses, brick family homes, a Victorian with a turret, a lighthouse keeper's house and more. Winners pick theirs on the My Plot tab and can switch any time.

More streets to come

Willowmere is the first of three neighborhoods. Honeycomb Heights and Bramblewood will open later, each on its own date.
