Hold Your Ground: The Streak Keeper Ticket and Griffin's Hourglass
Two new items hit the shelves today, and both are about the same thing: not losing progress you worked hard for. One protects your Daily Quest streak through a missed day. The other buys you one more hour on a Griffin Trial.
Streak Keeper Ticket
Finish all three Daily Quests every day and your streak grows, with a 1,000 MPC bonus every 7 days. Miss one day and it starts over from 1. Until now.
- Use it from your backpack to arm it. A small ticket badge appears next to your streak on your Dashboard.
- Up to 2 can be armed at once. Each armed Keeper covers one missed day, and two can cover two missed days in a row.
- It works automatically. Miss a day and your quest card tells you a Keeper has it covered. Finish all three quests on your next day and the Keeper is spent to keep your streak going. You'll get a mail saying which day it saved.
- A covered day doesn't add to your streak. A 12-day streak, one missed day, then a full day makes 13.
- Miss more days than you have Keepers and the streak starts over, but your Keepers stay armed for next time.
Find it at the Ticket Counter for 350 MPC. Arm one before a trip or a busy week, not after you've already missed two days.
Griffin's Hourglass
Every Griffin Trial errand gives you 60 minutes to find what Opal or Obsidian asks for. Let the hour run out and you slip back 1 to 3 levels, plus the 12-hour rest. Half its sand is Opal's and half is Obsidian's, and turning it gives your errand one more hour.
- Turn it right from the errand card. A button appears while you hold one, and it starts to glow in the last 15 minutes.
- One per errand, for either griffin, any time before the clock runs out.
- An hour means one more shop restock for the item to turn up. It isn't a guarantee, but it's a real second chance.
- It's never wasted. If there's no errand running, it's already been used on this one, or the hour has already run out, you keep it.
Find it at EPIC Only and the Odds & Ends Outlet for 12,000 MPC. Once you reach the Seeker band, where a failed errand costs 2 levels, it's worth keeping one in your backpack for the day a Trial asks for something hard to find.
Full details are in the Daily Quests and Griffin Trials wiki articles. Happy questing!
