Yeah, it was also awesome getting to know other people.
But I feel you. In my opinion, the drama was too much and it seemed like they wanted to get attention.

if we lose people for lack of global then they werent here for the right reasons then, Im still holding conversations with people just through the mail instead.

Same, I understand that just joining a game for global is very wrong.
I do still talk to people with email too, I just hope they don't take that away too.

I dont see why they would, when its DMS its much easier to pin point the problem and deal with it individually and I doubt there are so many problem people that it would have to be shut down, just may end up having to ban a few if they get out of hand. You know? Cause without a source of communication the game would be too hard, plus there are quests for emails and forum posts.

That is true. Individual DMS are easier to monitor for harassment than public chat, allowing developers to see exactly who is breaking the rules without punishing the entire community. Also, Communication is a core mechanic of multiplayer. Without it, the game feels empty, antisocial, and teamwork becomes almost impossible.

Honestly, I think removing chat is the wrong way to go. If there’s a problem with harassment, it’s much better to use the moderation tools we have to ban the few individuals who take it too far, instead of punishing the whole community. Besides, it’s a multiplayer game, socializing and coordinating is part of the fun. Removing it makes the game feel empty, not safer. Also, if the game has quests based on in-game email and forums, cutting off communication makes absolutely no sense.

in some situations, however with the fact this this game is run by 2 people just trying to create a fun game and decent place if the amount of people taking advantage outweighs the benefit, do what's easiest to nullify the problem before you just start kicking people out. I think they did the right thing for their game.

I think they should bring it back it has been awhile and maybe we get what to use the chat for. I don't think that taking it away for a long time will fix the problem. I have made friends and learned a lot about this game when I first started. There were people (and I admit I might have done some damage maybe... IDK but I'm not saying any names) That actually used the chat for its actual purpose and only a few have not. I don't think banning the certain people would help either ( yaa ik Im a little to the farther side of view) I think that if u bring the global chat back ppl will understand the consequence of taking the chat out of proportion and use it the right way. I admit that I LOVED the global chat and also I understand that it has made this game A LOT more fun. AND IK that there are quite a few ppl who played this game just for the chat. Ik a few of you think it was a headache and just drama. But to most others it was one of the KEY highlights of this game. So Nick and Luke if you are reading this pls put consideration into bringing it back PLS :) thx

Creo que deberían traerlo de vuelta; ya ha pasado un buen tiempo y tal vez ahora entendamos para qué sirve realmente el chat. No creo que eliminarlo durante un largo periodo de tiempo vaya a solucionar el problema. Hice amigos y aprendí muchísimo sobre este juego cuando recién empecé a jugar. Había gente —y admito que tal vez yo mismo causé algunos estragos... no lo sé, pero no voy a dar nombres— que utilizaba el chat para su propósito original; solo unos pocos no lo hacían. Tampoco creo que banear a ciertas personas sirviera de algo (sí, ya sé que mi punto de vista es un poco extremo). Pienso que, si traen de vuelta el chat global, la gente comprenderá las consecuencias de darle un uso desmedido y lo utilizará de la manera correcta. Admito que ME ENCANTABA el chat global y también entiendo que hacía que este juego fuera MUCHO más divertido. Y SÉ que hay bastantes personas que jugaban a este juego precisamente por el chat. Sé que algunos de ustedes piensan que era un dolor de cabeza y puro drama. Pero para la gran mayoría, era uno de los atractivos PRINCIPALES de este juego. Así que, Nick y Luke, si están leyendo esto, por favor consideren la posibilidad de traerlo de vuelta. ¡POR FAVOR! :) Gracias.

I agree I still do that to but again the mail system can be weird because of you can't immediately see if your friend responded unless you have g-mail open

True, but atleast it's an option. I have it enabled on my phone so while I'm out and about I keep track of findly and my dms. Not a big deal.
